A delightful find - Edit
We had both the Buddha burger and Gurkhali Fritters. Both meals were very delicious, the fritters being a standout for me on our Melbourne holiday, they were so perfectly balanced. The staff were warm and helpful in choosing and the atmosphere was lovely. The menu is not fully vegan, but it is clear they have greatly considered vegans with quite a few amazing options already fully vegan, and further options able to be adjusted to be vegan, with the menu specifying what would be substituted (sticky chai was not vegan but can be made with agave instead of honey etc). We also got a vegan choc raspberry biscuit on the way out that looked yummy too!

Alchem again - Edit
This place isn’t your typical hipster hangout, but offers so much more than smashed avo or other simple choices.
Read moreI had the Gurkhali Fritters which have gone down as my new favourite brunch option in all of Melbourne (having lived in Collingwood for 10 years)
Pros: Offers something different to most brunch spots, Great flavours, Quieter than the well known spots

Flavourful and special - Edit
Wish they were completely vegan. So far I’d say 90 percent of the menu is vegan. The dishes seem really special and not ordinary
Read moreIt’s using lots of Himalayan spices making the dishes very flavourful
A lot of turmeric, salt, garlic and also ginger - loved the avocado with scrambled tofu on bread (was gf as well I believe) with edamame and vegan feta
they are famous for their chai but I don’t really drink chai so ordered coffee instead
Lovely coffee and also serving special milk options
I chose macadamia milk
Lovely
Also having outside seating available
Lovely decor inside
The amount of scrambled tofu and Avo is great
Great flavours! It was delicious and can’t wait to try other dishes - the menu is quite special also serving lentil pancakes and Fritters and dishes I have never heard off

Pros: Macadamia milk, Tasty and big portions, Menu very special
Cons: Not fully vegan
Tiggy
I’m gonna have to say it’s more like 40 percent of the menu. And let’s remember, vegan options dont cancel out the death and suffering involved in the non-vegan dishes.

Large portions lots of options - Edit
Had the avocado and scrambled tofu. Wow it was large. The gluten free bread was thick, it was very filling I could only eat half. The chai turmeric latte was incredible. Worth a visit if you’re in the Fitzroy area.

Great options - Edit
Ive returned several times and I’m always impressed by the food. Most recently I tried the lumbini Dagwood sandwich. It was served with okra fries which may be the best fries I’ve eaten. Generous serve too
Read moreWe sat outside for lunch on a Sunday and I ordered a soy flat white. My partner ordered the chocolate pancakes and I ordered the Swayambhu portobello. My partner really enjoyed the pancakes and they looked nice. I really liked all the flavours on my portobello dish. The mixture of vegetables and quinoa was perfect. I’d like to go back to try more dishes. I like that there are so many vegan options.

This place offers unique Himalayan fusion breakfast and lunch dishes that are very tasty. I had the Lumbini Dagwood sandwich which was tasty, and the Vega chai with bonsoy was outstanding. The space has been recently renovated and looks great! The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed.
