Vegan Options and Festive Outside Dining - Edit
I recently went here with a group that had vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. I would recommend it for such a group, but not as a destination for just vegans. They briefly had an all vegan menu which was really great, but have since gone back to the confusing menu where you see things like a (v) next to Red Snapper Tacos. We had the enchiladas, tacos, and plantain tostados, which could all be made vegan. They were good and generous portions. Our kids enjoyed drinking the chichi mirada, a sweet Peruvian drink.

Pros: Friendly staff, Festive Outside Dinning, BYOB
Cons: Serves Lamb, Confusing menu for vegans

No vegan options - Edit
The menu and the reviews here are misleading. There are zero vegan options at this place, unless you like a rice, beans, and tortilla dish for $20. Every item on the menu with a V next to it has either meat or cheese in it, and their vegan option is to remove the animal product instead of replacing it with a vegan alternative. And they charge the original price for it, and it is not a cheap place. Overall I don’t recommend this place.

Unique and delicious!!! - Edit
Haven't had food like this anywhere else. It is in the expensive side, but everything in the area is and I think this is better quality. The cauliflower tacu tacu was awesome, but my husband and I didn't like the black bean quinoa balls as much as other reviewers did. The menu is a little confusing, things are labeled "v" that have meat in them, which I suppose means there's is a vegan/veg version, but I'd appreciate clearer labels of what is meant to be veg.

One of my favorite places! - Edit
My husband and I eat here several times a month; it's our favorite place to eat in L'ville. Lots of dishes have vegan options. The Black Bean Quinoa Balls appetizer can be made vegan, and it's excellent! The Cauliflower Saltada tacu tacu is vegan as is, and the tacos and enchiladas can be made vegan. BYOB. The owners and staff are all super nice. Great place to sit outside when the weather is nice. Make reservations if it's a weekend - it gets crowded.
Read moreJust a note: the menu might be a little confusing if you're new to El Tule. Items with a "v" are not vegan already (except for the cauliflower), but can be made vegetarian or vegan.
Pros: Great outside space with heaters, Fun vibe with good music, Delicious food

El Tule - Great Nibbles For Vegans And Omnivores - Edit
We had a great experience here! Jack the owner is very accommodating. We are a vegan couple that dined here with an omnivore couple. 80% of the dishes can be made vegan and/or gluten free. The Tacu Tacu vegan style was delicious, it was so good I ordered another half order. They have a hot vegan drink called the Champu de Quinoa which had quinoa and pineapple in it, very interesting. We highly recommend this place!
