Try the Chipotle tofu burrito bowl!

This is a fun restaurant/bar to bring vegans and non vegans. They have a super nice patio for a nice evening or belly up to their bar. Lot's of tequila options...bonus! Super nice The vegan options are easy to make substitutions. I will be coming back.

Pros: Vegan friendly, Lots of substitution protein options, Super friendly staff

Great vegan options but SO small.

They had both tofu and tempeh, refried beans are made with animal lard, but black beans were vegan. No vegan cheese which was disappointing. They also had portobello fajitas but you have to say no cheese or no sour cream for everything.

Pros: Had both tofu and tempeh as protein options., Black beans were vegan.

Cons: Inside was so small our family of 5 was very , Uncomfortably seated, No vegan cheese

Good local hole in the wall restaurant

Good options for vegans, tofu and cabbage tacos. I like the roasted jalapeños in soy sauce and lime juice!

Pros: Options, Portions, Taste

Cons: None

Surprising amount of Vegan options!

Delicious TexMex food with lots of vegan gf options. Soy curls were so flavorful! This restaurant is really appreciated in a town with very little options.

One of the best meals I’ve had in awhile

We were in the area and saw the good reviews on happy cow so we decided to check it out. My husband and I and our two toddlers went in on a Wednesday at 7:00pm. It definitely feels like a bar when you walk in. It’s very dark inside and the bar takes up half the room. I was surprised about this because the description doesn’t say anything about that. I was worried they might tell me no kids allowed. They didn’t say that but they did say they didn’t have a highchair. I said ok we’ll just hold the youngest then, no big deal. We ordered the guacamole and chips for appetizer which was amazing. Probably one of the best guacamoles I’ve had in a long time. It had a different taste to it almost like very strong olive oil, but it was delicious. We each ordered the vegan tempeh platter with tortillas. It came with spicy tempeh and sweet potatoes, a side of black beans, rice, peppers/corn mixture, and a smoked chili pepper. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was a tad spicy but really good and I like spicy food so I loved it. I wish we lived, closer I’d eat here all the time!

Pros: Delicious food, Cool atmosphere , Large bar

Cons: Not kid friendly

Pretty good burrito in Montgomery

I am glad I came back, and luckily I did not have my phone in February. I tried the basic meat burrito, selected tofu for my protein and held the cheese. It was pretty good, luckily the waiter was familiar with the ingredients and kept me from getting refried beans as they are cooked with butter. The menu was not marked at all but we stumbled thru it together and ended up with a pretty decent burrito.

Pros: Hip little hole in Montgomery

Cons: Menu was not marked.

Great but very trendy.

If you like trendy, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stick to take out. The food is excellent and they are very accommodating to various dietary needs. Interesting cocktails too!

Pros: Great vegan/vegetarian menu with lots of options.

Cons: Parking limited.

Good Vegan Options in the Land of Few

Knowledgeable staff. Asked if I was vegan and helped me out. Tempeh and tofu along with mushrooms as 'protein'. The waitress also let me know that the margaritas are NOT vegan. Highly recommend if you are in the area and have no other options.

Pros: good vegan options, knowledgable staff

Great Tastes!

The guacamole and salsa was amazing! Big portions and great warm chips. I had the Cali burrito w/o cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. They also offer tofu and tempeh dishes.

Pros: Good variety of vegan options

Cons: Very busy when we went - recommend calling ahead

best choice for vegan food in Montgomery

The food here is good and the options are adequate. I've always had friendly, knowledgeable servers and the menu has labels so it's easy to find the vegan stuff.

Pros: Large portions, tasty food, knowledgeable staff

Cons: Guac is extra, no vegan cheese

Nice vegan options

I had the Cali Burrito without cheese, which made it vegan. It was fantastic. Huge and full of tasty veggie goodness. I wasn't too happy with the salsa and chips though. The salsa is little more and chopped tomatoes and was pretty bland.

Cons: No sign out front so it can be hard to find.

Great Fresh Vegan Food

Although this is not a vegetarian restaurant, their vegan options are truly well-done. We had the Spicy Quinoa Salad, the Cali Burrito and the Tempeh Fajitas. We asked for everything to be prepared vegan and, frankly, didn't expect much. We were surprised to receive extremely fresh, delicious vegan plates as good, or better than anything we've found in a vegan restaurant. The staff was friendly and extremely familiar with vegan requirements. It almost makes me wish I lived in Montgomery.

♡THIS PLACE ♡

Just go! Amazing food, atmosphere and people♡. This is my third visit and this time I brought my husband and brother (both meat eaters). They both wanted a second order of their entrees. I recommend going at least three times to get in the mango salsa, roasted sweet potatoes, tempeh fajitas and roasted veggie nacho estenpudo... you're welcome (^_^). Whenever I'm in Montgomery I will stop here!!

Pros: vegan options not an after thought, happenin' atmosphere, people/service

Wonderful!

I was visiting my boyfriend, who is in the Air Force and training at Maxwell, and we went to this place one night. It was WONDERFUL! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I got the Tempeh Fajitas, and they were delicious, as was the guacamole and pineapple salsa. My boyfriend loved is carnivorous food as well. We loved it so much that we went back the next night. I got a Tempeh and Black Bean Burrito, and again, it was just incredible. If you are in Montgomery, you should give it a try.

Pros: Great Food, Great Staff, Priced Right

Cons: Can get really busy

Delicious Food - Wonderful Night Abiance

Tried to stop by here for lunch only to realize they are only open from 4-10. Luckily Cafe Louisa is right across the street. Came back a different night with an omnivore and we both had amazing meals. Food was super fresh (chips and guac) and tasty!! Omnivore co-worker had a huge meal that she loved and I loved mine as well. Staff was very pleasant and are very cognizant of everything from food source to veganism. Humongous beer list if that's your thing, specials/events listed on their website. Definitely worth checking out, and if the weathers agreeable grab a seat out on the front porch/balcony area - the lights in the trees and the old-timey street lend a certain character to the evening that's hard to describe. Definitely will be back (omni co-worker already went back with other people from work ... to rave reviews!)

Pros: Delicious food, amazing beer list, charming atmosphere

Cons: limited hours

I keep going back; this place a great! Try the Nachos Estupendo - skip the dairy and add some Tempeh or rice. Delicious mega meal right there, bring your appetite.
