Worth the Drive!!! - Edit
I cannot even begin to explain how divine this food was! Everything we tried was so authentic, flavorful, and filling in the best way! They even sell vegan meats by the pound, and I already can’t wait to go back here! This satisfied us in every way, from the rice and beans to their delicious conchas and tamales! Do not miss out on this place!

Delicious! - Edit
Full bodied, great flavor throughout. So much vegan food is fluff, lacking basic food seasoning principles, but this was uncommonly satisfying. We had tamales, tacos, and burros - good portions and price and super tasty. A rad spot, with a case of gorgeous Mexican pastries and bulk house fake meat for purchase. El Palote is doing a cool thing here - such a welcome stop on our road trip. We wish we would have ordered 3x more tamales!

Cons: I like less fake meat usually, Lack of such food in my town, .....

Vegan Mexican food! - Edit
If you’re in the mood for Mexican food, this is it! My husband got the enchiladas, I got the flaurrito plate (has jalapeños so cut if you don’t want them) and my son got the bbq sandwich. Surprisingly the bbq sandwich looked the best out of all of them! My son who is 16 loved it! Mine was super flavorful and good, just fried so I couldn’t eat all of it, hurts my stomach. My husband said the enchiladas were delicious. He said the hot sauce was the best! He likes super hot. IMO I wasn’t crazy about the beans, but everything else was good. They were a smaller size portion, but enough. Mine was enormous. I recommend getting the burritos here, have had them before and very good and large. I thought I took a pic of the bbq, but I guess I didn’t. I’m definitely trying that next time!

Authentic Vegan Mexican Food - Edit
This is the best Mexican vegan food place I have had! Very authentic; not Tex-Mex. We enjoyed the Menudo, el pastor taco, barbacoa taco, rice and beans and tamales. Everything surpassed our expectations. Corn tortillas are fresh, handmade. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. We came on a Saturday at 5:00. Prices are very reasonable.

Haven’t been to pleased with the vegan options in Dallas but this place is a different story. I ordered tacos and the flautas plate. Everything was delicious and fresh and I especially loved the green salsa. I may order here again tomorrow.

Okay, so we had the birria tacos and the flautario. Those tacos were insanely flavorful. The salsa great, actually has some heat. I’ve been looking for these flavors for so long and so happy we found this place.

Actually taco salad and tortilla soup are not authentic Mexican food. This place was absolutely as authentic as can be for Mexican vegan.

Authentic Mexican food - Edit
We ordered off of Uber eats yesterday and the food was amazing. This is the authentic Mexican food I miss. Everything was great-queso, beans, rice, tacos, chimichanga, flautas platillo. We chose vegan steak, pork and ground beef. Everything was so good! I’d love to go in next time because I see they have some bakery items that weren’t an option on Uber eats. 🤤

New Location Added - Edit
I just want everyone else on here to know that El Palote has added a ghost kitchen on 921 West Commerce Street, Dallas, TX 75208. And as far as I know that specific location is only available to order (either pickup or delivery) through UberEats. So if y’all are in need of a shorter commute to El Palote check it out! 😇

Mexican style vegan restaurant - Edit
El Palote Panaderia is a vegan restaurant I've been waiting to try for a while now. The crowd was good inside, I went there around lunch. I like the seating arrangement. I ordered the loaded 🍟fries and loaded nachos. Added a strawberry 🍓 fried pie for dessert. To be Mexican style vegan food, it was well made. I was full at the end of this lunch break and did not feel overly stuffed. I like the concept of what they're doing here. All I can say is keep up the good work 👍👍

I’ve lived in DFW all my life and grew up on authentic Mexican food as well as TexMex. I’ve been vegan for 4 years, and eating this took me back to my childhood!!! It was SOOO DELICIOUS! I got the fajita tacos. The rice and beans were seasoned PERFECTLY. I can’t wait to go back.
