Simple, cheap, healthy - Edit
Agree with many others, the food can be rather bland. The hot sauce is awesome tho, a must
Read moreBUT it’s extremely cheap, and good portions.
I’ve avoided ordering the tofu cus others say i it’s unseasoned. The soy curls are barely seasoned.
Know what you’re getting, lower your expectations, and this place comes in handy if you’re eating on a budget.
I can name several other places in Portland with waaay better burritos, but at least double the price
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options , Cheapest vegan burrito anywhere
Cons: Not the most exiting flavors

Excellent - Edit
Cute little family spot with an absolute banger of a vegan menu. It was extremely surprised at how great everything was. Friendly, warm smiles from the owners, large vegan menu, and excellent food. Highly recommend. I feel like vegan Mexican food is extremely lacking in this area, and this filled the void. Highly recommend.

Inconsistent quality - Edit
Too often I found chunks of meat in my vegan burrito, or they've added sour cream or a mayonnaise based sauce without my requesting and without it being listed as part of the ingredients, or stuff was just missing from the burrito. Their prices have got a little out of hand for the quality of the food. We used to eat here quite often but now we go maybe once a year if that.

Cons: Inconsistent quality and preparation., Sometimes chunks of meat in my vegan burrito :-(

Bland Burrito - Edit
I ordered a Chencho’s burrito, which includes beans, rice, lettuce, and pico de gallo. I added tofu even though it was an extra $3.75! The tofu was just unseasoned cubes, making the price even more ridiculous. Most of the burrito had little flavor, except for the small section that seemed to contain all of the slightly spicy pico de gallo.

I would have given this 5 stars if I could - Edit
My partner and I were visiting Portland and we popped by this adorable spot for dinner on our first day. I wish there was a spot like this in Worcester! I ordered the chimichanga with chipotle soy curls (because I saw everyone raving about them) and wow, so good! The owners/chefs were so kind. I was worried that it might be difficult to order the food items vegan, but all you have to say is make it vegan. Again, so sad that this place is across the country from me!

Their breakfast burrito is 🙌🏼 - Edit
Love their breakfast burrito with soy curls. Just make sure you Mark “vegan”. Their chipotle sauce is vegan they told me even though it’s not marked on the menu

Amazing, anyone who says otherwise is wrong - Edit
Super amazing delicious vegan Mexican food. I don’t know why someone would give this a bad review because they don’t have their preferred bean type (??), and I found the service friendly and quick. It’s great to support a family owned business that is offering vegan options! Loved it

No more refried pinto beans!!! - Edit
LOVED this yummy Mexican food cart with lots of vegan options until they stopped serving their refried pinto beans. Now your only choice is whole black beans, which TOTALLY changes things.

Disappointed - Edit
I normally don't write reviews, but I thought this warranted attention. The food was an adequate serving size, but a little bland. The more important issue was the way I was treated. Now, maybe it was just a bad day or the person waiting on me was really busy as she stated, but I left feeling like she was being rude. I felt like I was being talked down to when I asked a simple question. Hopefully, this customer service will change and El Nutri Taco won't lose any more customers.

Excellent vegan Mexican food! - Edit
This great food cart is run by a friendly family & is set up in their front yard. There are several picnic style tables, including some in a covered tent that keeps the rain off. While animal products are served here, their vegan menu is extensive and includes items that I'd never previously seen offered anywhere.

Their location is one reason I bought my house - Edit
These guys are really great - first found them when I was house hunting - part of the reason I bought my place, a mere 2 blocks away. They have a traditional sort of Mexican street food / cart menu, but also a full vegan / veggie menu. You can get burritos, tacos, taco salad, etc with soyrizo or tofu (fried tofu chunks). There tofu fajitas are great! Wonderful burrito cart salsa and they are very sweet people. My fave is the combo burrito and tofu fajitas!!

Cons: Too close to my house for my own good!, Packaging is foam for some to go stuff
