Does not seem to exist 😕

They may have moved and changed names or may have closed.

Has moved closer to the north end, south of the bus terminal, at Jorge Rengel and J. M. Mora.

I'm glad a place like this exists in Loja

It's a cute little restuarant and the staff is very kind as well. We went for lunch, which is a set daily lunch with a drink, starter, entree, and dessert. The starter and entree were nice, but the dessert was unpleasant. We've also ordered takeout; the falafel sandwich was delicious. The burger tasted good, but the texture was kind of squishy. They do have wonderful artesenal bread. All in all, this place is a bit hit or miss, but it is a rarity. So if you're in Loja, give it a try.

Pros: 100% vegetarian, mostly vegan

Cons: Food standards are all over the place

Great Vegan and Vegetarian cuisine in Loja

We had lunch at Buda Gourmet yesterday. Everything we had was vegan. Soup of the day, fresh veggies in a delicious veggie broth. Tabla de Picaditas, a platter of falafels, house salad, housemade artisanal bread with three dipping sauces - hummus, beet, and vegan cheese spread. And a pumpkin gnocchi dish in pesto sauce.

We also tried the homemade horchata, a bush tea with 7 herbal ingredients, and a yummy vegan apple pie for dessert.

Pros: Excellent food, Convenient location, Mostly vegan

Cons: Use dairy in homemade pasta, so not vegan
