Pre Hispanic food! - Edit
This little restaurant offers pre Hispanic food which is absolutely delicious and a fresh change to all the tacos!
Read moreReally appreciated that the waiter asked us if we were vegan on arrival and explained what we could have on the menu. Tried 3 different pre Hispanic vegetable patty dishes, they were all completely different and tasted divine.
Pros: Delicious food , Good service

Must try!!! - Edit
El Cuatecomate is right next to the famous Tepoztlán market and offers unique prehispanic dishes. Tlalqueadas are a traditionally vegan dish (the restaurant serves a few types with meat or dairy), accompanied by rice and beans and tortillas, of course. Simply delicious! I also had a cuitlacoche soup (kind of a tradicional funghi corn), which was amazing, and a local coffee. Also, the staff is wonderful and kind and knows about veganism. I couldn't recommend more this authentic Mexican and prehispanic restaurant. A great experience overall. And the price was quite okay. I paid 350 Mexican pesos (roughly $20) and ate a LOT!
