VEGAN tamales were AMAZING - Edit
Quaint little restaurant with awesome customer service. Staff was knowledgeable about veganism. We had the vegan tamales and vegan pozole. The pozole was good but the tamales were better. I’m definitely coming back!!

DELICIOUS homemade Mexican food - Edit
You have just walked into a cute homemade Mexican restaurant with diner vibes. Vegan tamale with Mushroom was incredible. I also got enchiladas oaxacas. Staff was very kind and prices were great for what we got. I would definitely come here again!

Hubby and I really wished we could have loved the food more as we love supporting small businesses in old town. First impression is that it's very clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and it feels cozy. My complaints are only about the food. The kitchen is fully open so you can see everything being made. The tamales are frozen but I can tell if they were warmed properly they would have been delicious. When served they are microwaved so the texture wasn't the best and the middle was still cold. The black beans were from a can and very salty. Overall the food we had was bland.

We got the veggie sandwich and the veggie bowl. Both are very good. I felt the bowl had great tasting beans and rice. Also the salsa verde was the perfect compliment. I got romaine instead of mixed greens and also took the veggies off. The sandwich had many good veggies including sprouts. It also had mustard and vegan mayo. Unexpected treat for a great price on our way back home on a road trip from Central Coast to NorCal.

We enjoyed the vegan pozole and vegan tamales. Flavorful, but not spicy. The service was great and the outdoor seating was nice.
