All the beans are cooked with pork fat.

After coming to El Chico for several years as my husband and I love the vegetable burrito (no cheese). The item is on the vegetarian menu, we had been reassured many times it was vegan minus the dairy. We recently were told that all the beans contain pork fat, this is so disappointing as we have eaten them many times.
It’s sad that it’s hard to trust restaurants.

Pros: Tasty burrito, Big portions

Cons: Pork fat in all of the beans, Not all the server seem to know the ingredients

Almost awesome but a vegan’s nightmare

My partner and I got the avocado enchiladas and veggie fajitas (both minus the dairy) last night. They were so delicious that we absolutely stuffed ourselves. I was happily eating the leftovers today, complimenting the food until… I came across dead chicken. Yes, *several pieces* of dead chicken!!!!! So, now I don’t trust this place and won’t be coming back.

Great place with vegan options

We love coming here. The service is great and they have vegan options. The staff is very accommodating. Ask for a vegetarian menu and be sure to specify no dairy. Their portions are huge, so we always have leftovers to take home.

Good place with vegetarian options

Had the veggie burrito (no cheese, no sour cream), chips and salsa and guacamole ( no jalapeños). All very tasty and huge portions.

Still, i prefer the taste and authenticity of El Sombrero on palm bay road.

Wonderful food

I posted El Chico to happy cow years ago, then was never notified to come post the review. We have been coming here for the past 5 years. Food is delicious, servers very nice, prices are good. Veggie fajitas with no cheese or sour cream are my staple. My husband likes the avocado enchiladas minus the cheese and sour cream drizzle.

Pros: Great food, Good prices, Nice servers
