The owner was managing the store and things seemed a little chaotic. He was nice and told us it would be a little while for our order and offered to buy us a beer. When my hot dog came out, the onions and vegan cheese I ordered weren’t on it. He politely apologized, added the onions and couldn’t find the cheese; which was fine. I added condiments from the self serve station and took my dog to go. When I bit into it, the dog was hard and inedible. I am guessing it was over cooked. I also noticed the bun was very soft and realized I had not verified if it was vegan.

Late Night Favorite - Edit
El Capitán’ was a favorite for years before I went vegan, and happy they added an all vegan option that tastes really good. The owner has always been so nice and I’ve never had a negative experience!

They have two vegan hot dog offerings and they’re both delicious and affordable! Toppings are serve yourself. Everyone that works there is really friendly and the owner is super cool and down to earth. One of my favorite spots!
