La ubicación es céntrica, el lugar es limpio, acogedor y tiene muy buena atención.
Los precios son accesibles, por un variado(15 piezas de sushi sopa miso), una copa de sake y postre) pagué 47 soles.
Cada bocado vale la pena.

This place is a must. The sushi is great, the staff friendly, the atmosphere cozy, the dishes make you speechless and best of all, it's 100% vegan.

The food is really good and detail oriented. Fancy and well presented. I just did not feel full enough I would have personally prefered a bigger plate. I like that we see the cooks prepare food right beside us. To be full I had to take two plates so it cost me a lot. But it was sooooo good. :) And also the restaurant is a big contrast in the city, cheers to the manager for implanting this restaurant.

This gem was only 5 minutes from my hotel! A lovely small establishment. They had an English menu which helped! They prepare the food in front of you.
Read moreI had the sushi bowl which was delicious. I also took away with me the only dessert option. I loved it so much I returned the following day with a friend. We shared the combo for 2 which was absolutely delicious, such taste sensations! Hands down best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. The service was great, the food was beautifully presented and came quickly.

A sushi place that attracts people from all over. Even omnivores. Why? Because they serve one of the best sushi I ever ate. I will never forget the taste of the Selva Uramaki: Cucumber, shiitake and avocado topped with mango. I also really liked the Verde Futomaki: artichoke, cucumber, avocado, and spinach. The ramen and the ceviche were delicious (10 soles each). The presentation is beautiful, the ingredients fresh, the service fast, and the sushi creative. We ate there twice. I highly recommend to check them out and delight your senses. A mixed sushi tray with 30 pieces is 35 soles.

The food itself was good, but the portions were tiny. Walked out just as hungry as I walked in. Literally the tiniest sushi rolls I have ever encountered. I had the mixed „tabla“ for one for 22 Soles. Given the fact that it was only vegetables and given the absurdly cheap prices of vegetables in Peru this is not an acceptable price-size ratio for me. Long story short: Come here to taste some good vegan sushi as a starter, then go somewhere else for the mains.

Best Sushi in the World - Edit
We went there three times in one week during our time in Arequipa. It got in our top 3 of vegan restaurants during our six months world travel. Kind of crazy to find the best sushi in the world in the andes of Peru!

This place is amazing! I ate here three times during my four day stay in Arequipa. Inside, it's small but not crowded. The menu is creative and includes ramen, dumplings, and miso in addition to sushi. The owner Allen is very kind and friendly.

Perfect place to have a range of vegan sushi and a few other veganised dishes (e.g., gyoza, ceviche). Prices are reasonable. Popular with tourists -- get there a little early for dinner so you won't have to wait for a table.

Cozy little vegan sushibar, with a lot of different sushis. The best vegan sushi I ever had. For this quality it's not expensive. I can definitely recommend it!! When you are Arequipa you absolutely have to try this.

What an absolute surprise, a vegan Japanese restaurant in the centre of Arequipa! My boyfriend and I were blown away by the quality of the food served at El Buda Profano, the explosion of flavours, and the ingenuity of some dishes. Kudos to the whole team!

Amazing veggie sushi - Edit
What a brilliant concept: a vegetarian sushi restaurant! Usually when I go to a Japanese restaurant the options for vegetarians are limited and dull. This restaurant proves that veggie sushi does not have to be bland, it can be very tasty indeed! I had the 1 person variation menu, that offers miso soup and 4 sushi variations (several if each) for only 18 soles. That is really good value considering the great quality. Well recommended.

Sushi is not the cuisine for me. - Edit
I don't think I had ever had sushi before. It has never really had a draw for me. I had the selection that you can see in one of the photos here, the one that is a close-up on pale wood. It was 18 sols. Unfortunately, I am not a convert. It was perfectly pleasant but you get so little and it's frustrating to leave hungry and have to go and buy some chips.
Read moreIt's a cool environment: although it's on the ground floor, it feels like a cellar as it's hemicylindrical and all the wall/ceiling is red brick. There was also jazz playing from another room: I don't know whether there is also seating there or if it's just a space for the musician(s). It was also conveniently just round the corner from my hostel.
I only spoke Spanish, so it was annoying that the waiter at first spoke to me in English and gave me menus in English: it must be a very touristy place. However, unlike some restaurants in Peru, he at least didn't persist.
I don't wash to bash a vegan place so I'm giving it a generous four stars. If you love sushi in general then I am sure you will love theirs.
