Great on a hot summer day. - Edit
Cozy little place with various vegan options. Sadly sorbets only and nothing „fancy“ when I was there. But it tasted very good, wasn’t too pricey & the staff was nice.

Friendly; waffles are vegan - Edit
Small parlour in middle of old town at tram stop. All is labeled: Less sugar, soy, etc.. A few chairs outside, a few seats inside but basically, only to go. Waffles are vegan!

Located in downtown Linz this Eis Greissler offers a lot of tasty and fresh vegan ice cream. Some ice cream sorts are locally sourced and only available in this store.

During summer there can be quite a queue people in front of the store. Sometimes even whole school classes.

I tried many of their fruit sorbets and all of them were really good and fruity. Unfortunately, they don't have plant based milk ice cream. Especially on hot summer days you will find sometimes a long queue in front of their shop, but don't worry, it won't take long, they work pretty fast. It's definitely worth to join the line.

I was addicted to the Haffer-Kafee variant. It's delicious. The strawberry chocolate is also a very nice combination. The waffle is also very nice.

All the fruit flavours are vegan and also our favourite the Pistachio-Oat are vegan. So are the cones. A single scoop costs about 1,50€. More vegan non-fruit flavours would be nice.

Great vegan ice cream (incl. cone) - Edit
Eis Greissler is a vienna based ice cream parlor that offers at least five vegan ice creams (08/2018): almond-chai (which tastes like marzipan) and dark chocolate. both are really great and some fruit ice (including one with stevia) too. The ice cream cones are vegan too! Considering their central location and offering they are very fairly priced.

Even though the ice cream is very good, it's quite expensive and the cones aren't vegan. The decoration of the small shop is very focused on cow's milk which makes me uncomfortable.

Read moreA big scoop of their really good ice cream is only 1,60 EUR which is still a very fair price considering their very central location and quality and also considering other parlors cashing at least 2 EUR for a scoop of mostly inferior quality (and not to forget only offering fruit ice as a vegan option without a cone).

Eisgreissler is the best ice maker in Linz you‘ll find, even if you aren‘t vegan. All the fruit flavours are vegan and you can really taste the fruit!
