Very nice pizzas - Edit
We tried both pizzas, one with vöner and one with beans, and enjoyed! The restaurant is modern but cosy. Friendly waiter.

Poor service, very basic food - Edit
If we didn’t go to order inside we’d probably never get served although the server saw us. There was no mention of no service in the garden and the other one table was served anyways.
Read moreIn the description here it was saying all back page of the menu is vegan, however we found o my three vegan meals which two out of them were pizza. We got one each and it was very difficult tell them apart as they seemed both pretty much same. Very basic and extremely thin dough, weirdly crumbling as of it was gf.
Drinks arrived probably 15min after we ordered. My beer was very sad looking, no foam and not as cold as I’d like.
Food arrived after another 20 or 25min.
Unfortunately haven’t read the comments before visiting, only picked up something central and supposedly typically Estonian.

Not bad - Edit
Not a fine dining experience but the food was still ok. We had vegan Metsaisa pizza which was good and Vegan Tõnn (an Estonian version of Shepherd’s Pie) which was also good. Bathroom was out of order but we could use one next door.

Limited options - Edit
On the chalkboard outside Ruuni, they advertise "vegan options", but as far as I could tell, there were just two options: the Vöner Pizza and the Estonian mashed potato/bean/mushroom/tomato sauce dish. I got the potato dish and it was actually quite good. It was a huge portion that I couldn't finish, but I thought 9 euros was a bit much to charge for it, so I probably wouldn't get it again. Not many gluten-free options for my husband.

Better than expected - Edit
After reading lots of bad reviews, I expected a lot worse but it turned out to be quite a nice student restaurant/pub. Had a clearly labelled vegan Vöner Pizza (vegan Döner Kebab Pizza) and a vegan version an Estonian dish: mashed potatoes with beans, onions, and mushrooms and baked with vegan cheese on top, which I tried. It was quite nice, however, very filling and I felt a bit sick afterwards, because it really was a lot of cheese and no fresh vegetables, so it can be a bit much if you're used to healthier food. The staff was friendly. They also had vegan cinnamon buns

Fascist-friendly - Edit
Unfortunately a fascist-friendly place. Pizza was okay. But the bartenders boyfriend who spends his freetime there got a huge Kolovrat-Tattoo on the neck an showing self-confident his political agenda. Bar/Restaurant doesn't seem to have a problem with that.

As a local, I wouldn't recommend this place for vegans. The food is very basic and simple in the worst sense of the word - bland and from cheapest ingredients.

To loud music - Edit
I had my lunsj here. The salty pancake was really good. Probably a cozy place in the afternoon, but the music was loud and heavy at 11pm

Below average place with vegan options - Edit
Food needs more seasoning, less fat. Tried “Tõnn” and would suggest to use less potato and more mushrooms and beans.

Not great for vegans - Edit
The coconut milk for coffee is more like coconut cream too rich. They were out of vegan cheese when we were there so we got two mediocre pizzas without cheese, we asked to sub ingredients for the cheese, but they were all wrong. I'd love to try pancakes with the cheese.

fast-food - Edit
This place is very central and you can order vegan pizzas and they offer many options(and your non-vegan friends can get their cheesy stuff).but actually the vegan cheese they use is not so good and they use too much of it.so, they serve easy, but good food and the staff was very welcoming

Vegan cheese available - Edit
Ruuni Pizza has done a lot in the past year to become vegan friendly and expand their vegan menu. There is a lot of choice for a restaurant that is not strictly vegan. The pizza menu is the most extensive, though they are not the most filling. Very thin crust and not the best ingredients, but it's cheap and tasty. Even ordering the largest size pizza, I found I wasn't full. There is usually an all you can eat buffet option for vegan crepes, so this would be good if you eat a lot :D The service isn't bad or good but very neutral. Decor is ok. Worth a visit and very affordable.
