Amazing Mochi Shakes - Edit
One of the best desserts in my life.
Read moreI'm usually not a big fan of milkshakes, but these ones are different.
I had the Kuzukuzu Kinako Shake with soy based Ice-cream on top.
The liquid part is super creamy and Kinako flavored with Kuromitsu. There are bits of mochi inside, you can eat with a straw, similar to nata de coco.
On top is the super tasty Kinako ice-cream.
They have a small seating area. When you eat at the table, there will be more Kinako powder and kuromitsu ready to add by yourself.
Update:
I was talking to the vendor. This shop was closed due to rising rent prices BUT they will open a new shop probably in the Asakusa area!

Yummy desserts - Edit
We tried the strawberry shake which is really more a dessert with mochi, freeze-dried strawberry flakes and soy ice cream. The staff are lovely and asked if we found them through the Happy Cow app when we double-checked about dairy. #Veganuary

Nice drinks! - Edit
Tried the chocolate kuzumochi drink topped with ice cream, dark chocolate pieces and sauce.
Read moreThere were small pieces of kuzumochi in the bottom (like the bubbles in bubble tea) and would highly recommend the creamy ice cream on top. It made the whole drink a filling dessert!
Options to sit in (only 4 chairs) and friendly staff😄
Pros: Tasty and not too sweet , Friendly staff

Totally worth it! - Edit
One of the best Japanese sweets in Tokyo! They offer various savory options. I tried the small-sized original shake; it wasn’t too sweet and tasted fantastic. You can add kinako and sweetener if you like

Wonderful place - Edit
Came here twice during the trip, it was that good! Tried both the chocolate and strawberry shakes. The strawberry was sweeter but both were super tasty! You get a small cup of complimentary tea with your order.

Epicly cute little food place; it's just gorgeous. The kuzumochi desserts were amazing, with a wholesome sweetener used (not too sweet or sugary!). Absolutely worth finding and trying!

Unique shakes and desserts - Edit
This was a great little spot to stumble on. All vegan, with such unique flavour combinations. We tried the strawberry and chocolate, the shakes were really nice and cute. I wasn't a huge fan of the mochi on top, and unfortunately they only had a couple seats as well. It was a bit hard to find seating in the rest of the mall. However definitely worth a try.

Would go back again if I could. The chocolate and brown syrup icecream was a win for me! The strawberry is nice but very sweet. The dried strawberries on top add a yummy crunch. Same with the cocoa nibs on the chocolate. #Veganuary

Vegan Shakes - Edit
An all vegan stand in Takashimaya serving delicious shakes. This is exactly the kind of shop that I want to see in the old-style traditional touristy shopping streets of places like Asakusa, and even Kyoto, Kamakura, Karuizawa, etc. We got a large kuzukuzu shake with brown sugar syrup and kinako, topped with soy milk soft serve and a pumpkin heart. It was mild, refreshing, and delicious, a very typical Japanese flavor! Now, if they start selling matcha, golden sesame, and black sesame flavors, they'd cover all their bases of great Japanese flavors!

Fun shakes! - Edit
I was happy to stumble upon this little sweets stand in the Takashimaya building. I asked for their recommendation and ended up getting a kinako shake with the kuromitsu kinako topping. There definitely was a nutty taste to it and it was pretty sweet. There were little jelly cubes at the bottom which were a fun surprise as well!
