Everything You Could Find in Istanbul

With regards to cruelty-free, vegan products is stocked here. It is a small shop, with a grand mission and I commend Tarkan for his dedication and hard work into making this shop a reality. If you want something that is not sold here...he's probably researched it and is either working on bringing it or trying to source it locally. He's a pioneer and hero of the plant-based scene here in istanbul, we'd be lost without him!

Small and expensive

Even if it might be difficult to import vegan products i found this shop quite expensive ! The owner is super nice and i really support him but i hope he can become popular and then become cheaper !
For example a bottle of Desert Essence shampoo was 32 TL (12 euros) !

Pros: Friendly staff, Lots of household products, Lots of vegan cosmetics

Cons: Not that many food items, Expensive

Small Vegan Shop

I concur with the previous post. It is a very cute and small shop. This is a great store for someone living in Istanbul or on a long term stay. They have mainly household products, toiletries, and some food items. Unfortunately, not a lot of prepared or grab and go foods. I did find a chocolate pudding that I decided to try and it was really quite good. I also got some juice.

Small, but really cool.

This place is quite small, but they have a lot of great things : mainly household products, toiletries, personal items, etc. They do have a limited selection of food items, but we were on our way to the airport and just looking for a snack to take with us. Unfortunately, they don't have any single-serving snacks, so we couldn't really buy anything but juice.

I'd definitely go here, if I lived in the area or was staying long enough to need laundry supplies or dish soap that's vegan, etc.

Pros: All vegan

Great little store for stocking up

Tiny store, but packed high, this place has THE range of vegan products in Istanbul. Not hard to find when you know which direction to come from (hint: come from Taksim, not from Kabatas, and avoid the hills), you can stock up here on a small range of mock products, cosmetics and hair care, various other ingredients and soy milks, which isn't that easy to find around Istanbul. The owner is great, helpful and really enthusiastic.

Pros: Great staff, Vegan peace-of-mind, As much range as can be fit in the store

Cons: Tiny space, Limited range because of space

Vegan meatballs, schnitzel and even doner kebab

Meat analogue products are just introduced in Turkey but they are still sold in a few places. This is one of them. The brand for those products is Veggy. As the owner turned to be vegan couple years ago, he started to stock more and more vegan and vegetarian products that can hardly be found anywhere else.

Pros: Wide range of vegan food, Friendly owner, Fresh, chilled things

Cons: Small, Hard to find

I just found that Ecolife Cihangir has been the first full vegan store. It does not sell any animal product at all. It will soon provide some vegan cheese alternatives too!

All you need

The place is a bit hard to find, if you're not familiar with the street names and system in Istanbul, but it's definitely worth the effort. If you're staying at a hotel, you will find here all basics to add to your breakfast - delicious spreads, tofu, etc. Try the local eggplant spread, or the sweet hazelnut - grape spread. Georgous!!

Pros: Friendly English speaking staff, Delicious local food, Small, but all basics available

Cons: A bit hard too find
