Best meal I had in my whole Tassie trip! - Edit
Delicious food, lovely vibe, staff were awesome. Best vegan kimchi I’ve had in my LIFE. Would give 5 stars if happy cow would let me!

Wholesome food - Edit
Ate here twice in the one day. They had just started their new menu and there are quite a few vegan dishes on the menu and in the cabinet as well as sweets and deserts. Would have like to try all the vegan dishes on the menu if I had stayed in Lonnie for longer.

Had Wallaby on their menu 😢 - Edit
Stopped for coffee (which was decent). Intended to eat here based on good reviews on happy cow.
Read moreWhen I saw they had local wallaby on the menu I wasn’t OK with supporting this business with the destruction of the native animal population. So if you feel strongly about this issue I thought I would warn anyone that they are supporting the native hunting industry.

Hi Elle. I'm sorry you feel so strongly on this issue, that it's made you feel devisive about our cafe. We openly cater to a large variety of dietary requirements and choose to serve Lenah Game Meats which we believe are the most sustainable choice of local meat. We choose our suppliers very carefully, especially when it comes to meat and animal products. Lenah Game Meats serves meat from what would otherwise be culled from farms and wasted to landfill, which we do understand is not supported by all, but we see it as a more sustainable choice, in a cafe that does openly serve meat. We do serve alot of vegan dishes too, which also feature local, ethically farmed produce and products from small artisan suppliers. We care alot obout the food on our plates, where it came from and how it was farmed. We try our best to please customers from all walks of life and belief systems, so it is upsetting to receive such negative feedback. We hope that you can understand our point of view too. Warmest regards, Laura (the owner)

Tasty real food - Edit
Loved my miso mushrooms on sourdough. I ordered it with a side of beans. The beans were a bit bland, but much improved with salt and pepper! Coffee was good.
Read moreThe menu appears to have changed from previous reviews, so although I was looking forward to a tofu scramble, this was no longer an option. Plenty of salads in the cabinet, as well as toasties and sweets.
Friendly staff and plenty of seating. On the Saturday morning when we visited, they also had live ambient music, which was lovely.

Pricey - Edit
The big breakfast was tasty but not the biggest for the price. We had to pay extra for avocado and extra for a 2nd piece of toast so it ended up being $31! Thank goodness we shared it. They didn't have much else. Just a burrito and a Buddha bowl.

Pretentious - Edit
This place is a typical cafe with animal products disguising itself as ethical. Just because the pig was humanely raised doesn't make it okay to serve its body parts. The staff are quite rude, they don't listen when taking orders and the vegan options are limited when it would be so easy for them to not add dairy products of eggs to some of the meals. Chai latte came out with honey when specifically said no honey, the smoothie was tasteless, and they managed to both burn and undercook the sweet potato in the salad. I wouldn't bother again.

Great Smoothie - Edit
Cute decor with quite a few vegan options such as vegan cakes and smoothies but I was a bit disappointed there wasn't more vegan meals. There were 2 vegan salad options plus the Buddha bowl that we got. The bowl was pretty tasty and the jungle juice smoothie was delicious.

So nice we are here twice - Edit
There were vegetarian options at this cute, hippy restaurant, so many in fact that we came back for lunch. Highly recommend the Tassie Trio juice (pear, apple, mint).

Had the daily special; spiced chickpea, quinoa, broccolini and sweet potato 'Buddha Bowl' with tahini maple sauce. Was delicious and a good portion size. Quite a wide selection of vegan choices including from vegan toasties to caramel slices and vegan cheesecake.

Earthy Eats is one of my favourites in Launceston as a local! They have so many different vegan & vege options and the staff are super great. Food is local, organic, well priced. And the coffee is good too. You can also buy fresh produce and groceries here, and the restaurant seating area is really groovy. There is nice outdoor seating too.
