Great Selection!

Love their selection of pre-made vegan food! They also have a great produce department and never fail to have many alternative milk options. The staff there is very friendly! They always help me find items I can't find. As an added bonus, their vegan everything cookies are to die for!!

They have tons of options!

Sadly their hot bar was always pretty bad with vegan options, but they have some stuff at the deli and pretty tasty buffalo chickn at the prepared meals section next to the deli and the take and bake pizzas. Privacy of course, like most health food stores but they always have deals.

They even have vegan cakes, and fresh cupcakes and cookies from the bakery.

Bad vibes, bad attitudes, toxic people.

Why is it that every time I go here, the last two times, both times, I ask about A-2 cow products, I get an attitude. I pay a premium for these kind of products and all I get is flack from the cheese department and the meat department at this store. I have spoken to the managers both times about this, they have been very responsive and nice, but now after careful thought there is no way I can walk in there again. I feel that I am going to get my head chewed off if I ask the wrong employee things they should know about the product they are selling. I can't deal with rude people, it's clearly toxic and not a healthy place for me. I have spent thousands of dollars in the past two years testing my DNA, microbiome and biochemistry, knowing what I can and can't eat. All to be put down and insulted for asking simple questions about the clean expensive food I am about to purchase for my health.

Think Raisin Rack, only bigger and corporate

Yes, I buy from corporations. I just prefer the little guy in most cases when I have a choice. I visited Earth Fare last week when preparing to go on a week-long road trip. Their produce prices seemed incredibly reasonable given the claims of organic certification. (Watch "In Organic We Trust" for additional information on how the "organic" label can be a big farce.) I expect their produce prices to rise after the first six weeks or so of the store's opening. It wasn't a regular grocery shopping for me as I was seeking out quick-to-prepare foods that I never buy for home eating. I found brands of those items that I've bought at Giant Eagle, but I'm pretty sure I paid a little more at Earth Fare despite their claims that most of what I bought was on sale. The staff was friendly, but who wouldn't be glad to have a brand new job? Not to be cynical; I just know my own mood swings.

I will continue to frequent Raisin Rack for the regular-cooking items that I can't find at Aldi, Marc's, and farmers' markets. I suspect that Earth Fare will get my dollars sometimes, but I won't abandon Raisin Rack for the new kid this fast.

Pros: Large selection of vegan-friendly products, Reasonable produce prices

Cons: Location (IE Belden Village traffic), Corporate
