I love this food! - Edit
I usually get takeout but the dine in experience is also good. I love spring rolls and almost always get one of the bun dishes as those are my favorite. The rice dishes are also really good.

Really wanted to like this place but.. - Edit
The location was not favorable. I read the reviews and understood that there was a butcher shop but went anyway. Maybe I got the wrong dishes but they were okay — Kung Pao and The noodle dish with rolls. The noodle dish was semi good but I’ve had better. The Kung Pao dish protein looked liked hush puppies...which I’m not use to seeing. The veggies and sauce were good. Maybe I should’ve opted for a soup which seems to be the preferred dish by many. The service there was attentive but there weren’t maybe people dining. The bathroom was clean so that’s always a good thing. The slaughter house and fish smell were suppressed when my food got to the table but the smell lingered in my clothes afterwards and I didn’t enjoy it while I waited for my food. If I lived here I’d give it another go unfortunately this was only visit.

I have passed this place numerous times oh, I never knew that it was actually inside a grocery market. I was able to enjoy a lunch and grabbed a plate to go. The portions are little bit small but very delicious.

This restaurant's pho and banh mi have ruined me for any other restaurant! You can tell they have put a lot of time and love in every dish and the broths have depth! Will always make a trip when in town or feeling down.

VEGAN GEM - Edit
This was my first vegan experience. I’m coming up on my 7 year vegan anniversary in November, this little family owned restaurant helped me transition to the healthy live style I live by today. I would have never imagined how my life would change after 2 soups and spring rolls my wife and I ate that evening almost 8 years ago. Today at 31 years of age I am 60lbs lighter at 175lbs and a healthy BMI. My wife is vegan, and our 3 kids ages 5 and under are also vegan healthy and thriving. Just goes to show the impact businesses have in their communities. My favorite soups are the Pho and #8 soup which I don’t know the Vietnamese name but trust me it’s good. The French bread sandwich and spring rolls are our family tradition appetizers. Now I’ve traveled and visited MANY vegan restaurants throughout the US and Mexico and I can say without a doubt that the vegan CHEESECAKE at D’VEGAN is the absolute best out there. This family owned restaurant have been an inspiration to my family and I so much that my parents, and wife and I opened El Palote Panaderia in 2015. Thank you D’VEGAN!!!!!!

Totally agreed with what you said! I love D'vegan noodle soup especially on a cold winter day. And btw, your family's restaurant is awesome as well!! Our family drove 40 miles just to eat at El Palote! My husband likes the torta, my daughter likes the flautas, and I love everything I tried so far! My "non-vegan-but-trying-to-eat-healthy" coworker also enjoyed your vegan bread and taco very much that we often talked about needing to go there soon... at work... =)

They have a nice menu of vegan Asian food. I got sweet n sour chik'n which was different than I expected. More spicy than sweet or sour, but good. The cheesecake was TO. DIE. FOR.

Little hidden Gem - Edit
A little hidden gem among the many ethnic markets of this shopping plaza, D'Vegan Restaurant has great signage from the front. Follow through the doors, past the bakery and the shop with dead animals hanging from the ceiling, and you've found a little slice of vegan heaven.
Read moreWith the sweetest little ladies working the whole front of house, it's a very laid back atmosphere. Much easier to point to menu items or use the numbers and letters provided, and you can rest assured everything is vegan (even the cheese cake).
I ended up with 3 appetizers: the seitan strips, zucchini noodle pho, and soy banh mi. Together they made for a great lunch. The seitan are not what the menu picture looks like unfortunately, they're from a bag I believe, and reheated. The pho and banh mi on the other hand were great. Pho was light fresh, banh mi was flavorful and a larger app for sure.
Overall very pleased, a solid quick lunch spot. Nothing out of this world but you'll leave full and satisfied :)
Pros: Quick service, Unique!, All Vegan Menu
Cons: Language barrier can be tricky sometimes

Amazing Taste - Edit
This restaurant has a similar experience to other Asian restaurants. They do not dote on the customers like many modern American restaurants. It is also not very clean. I'm used to that though. And the food is really tasty. We will definitely be back to try more of the dishes on the menu.

YUUUUMO! - Edit
This place makes my belly really happy! My boss (non-vegan) and I come to this little hidden restaurant ALL the time. It's delicious and the people that work there are super sweet! We get the Pho, fried rice, the spring rolls and the sandwich appetizer. We got there with an appetite! Lol The only thing, is the service is a tiny bit slow but after the food gets there, you don't even care. All portions are big and filling. I promise you won't regret it! ?

great place if you love viet food - Edit
Being Filipino, my viet food requirements aren't that high! I've ate here twice and enjoyed their dry noodles and their fried rice! I also tried their spring rolls and they are really good! Although, my Vietnamese friend said it was decent compared to other places that aren't vegan. ? It is a great place though!

Flavorful Vietnamese option in North Dallas - Edit
Serving vegan takes on staple dishes from Vietnam (and a few from its neighbors), D'Vegan has a large enough menu that there should be something to please most palates, with a selection of starters, noodle dishes, rice dishes, and soups.

Absolutely wonderful vegan food! - Edit
I could not have been more pleased. The food was so good and very inexpensive. The place is located inside of an Asian strip mall next to the Hong Kong Market and if you are sensitive to walking by or near meat there is a meat market you can't avoid. The place is small and simple. There is a strong language barrier but it's not an issue. We just pointed to the menu items we wanted and it was easy. If you had any special requests or questions you might run into a problem unless you speak the language. The service was quick and the food was delivered with a smile. A lot of their dishes have fake meat which wasn't a problem for me. As far as fake meat goes it was the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Banh Mi sandwhich, the Zucchini Pho and the Crunchy Rolls.

Quaint little place - Edit
The food is objectively great wether you're vegan or not! The restaurant is quirky and cute usually pretty empty. There is a bit of a language barrier and service is okay. I recommend ordering using the dish number to avoid mix ups. Unfortunately you have to walk past a meat market to get to the restaurant.

Best Pho of My Life! - Edit
Hands down the best pho I've ever had, vegan or non-vegan! My compliments to the chef! I've never had dishes so authentic AND vegan! If you can get through the nasty fish smell of the market to get to D'Vegan, you won't be sorry! Great prices too! My boyfriend and I ate like kings there the other night and I think our total was under $35! We got two juices, their cheesecake, two entrees and a couple egg rolls! Seriously LOVE this place and the wonderful people who run it!

seriously?? - Edit
I visited this restaurant because of the glowing reviews on Yelp. Now I see 5 stars on Happy Cow and I need to set the record straight. First, the restaurant is not clean. We sat at a booth and there was food particles all over the wall. We should have left at that point. We ordered our food and the mock chicken tasted like soap. The owner kept hovering and asking if we didn't like our food. I wasn't going to be rude and so said I was full. They came back multiple times and asked again when we paid at the register. Very uncomfortable. It was horrible.
