Wonderful find!

Excellent food that was easy to modify to vegan. They didn’t even blink. And my pescatarian husband had his best meal in forever too. I stuck with tofu but they even have mock duck as a protein option. Worth going out of your way.

Tasty, friendly staff

The menu doesn't specify vegan dishes, but the lady taking our order knew how to veganize dishes. She was very friendly.

Glad they have mock duck made with seitan besides the tofu. It was very tasty! Soft chewy texture, great seasoning.

Surprises me everytime

I am towards the end of my 2-month stay in Newport. There are NOT really a lot of places with vegan options around here let alone GOOD vegan options. But this place surprises me every time. It would be a solid thai spot anywhere. And they have been very accommodating of veganising requests as well.

Pros: A lot of curries and stir fried can be made vegan., A few appetizers can be made vegan as well.

Cons: No vegan desserts but that's wishful thinking

Outstanding vegetarian/vegan cuisine

Vegetarian options in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom are sparse, to put it mildly. And vegan is virtually nonexistent. Yet Dusit Thai would stand out for its quality, selection and ambiance in any large metro area. Delicious food expertly prepared (and excellent service) in a beautifully restored building on Newport's main drag. Not to be missed.

Pros: Excellent food, moderate prices, ambiance

Cons: serves meat , not always open; call first
