Ate at the LimeTree Cafe, which is right next door to the Co-Op. (Co-Op is really cute and has a lot of great, low waste products and produce!)
Read moreAt the cafe my friend and I enjoyed the falafel wrap (toasted) and the cup of soup with bread. Soup of the day was the tomato coconut harissa and it was exceptional. The falafel wrap was also delicious! The wrap came with a very very small side salad, so if you’re feeling really hungry I’d suggest getting a side with the wrap (one of their prepared salads, chips, nuts, etc.) Delicious food and cute little spot!

Fantastic for Zero Waste Shopping - Edit
I visited DFCO at their new location in Dec 2018. The shop is much smaller than their previous one, but they have made great use of the space. They have expanded their zero waste section and they have so many loose products (e.g. quinoa, sun dried tomatoes, pasta) to choose from! I was really impressed.

Fantastic authentic gem in Dublin where the organic and wholefood lover is in it's bliss. Get surrounded by extremely friendly people, markets stalls, organic vegetables, the café that always serves great coffee and food (also breakfast), and the shop where you can buy wholesome groceries.

All you need for great nutrious-delicious food is stocked there. It can be confusing at first as it is run by volunteers and it is quite different than a store. But that is the point, it is a coop!!! For extra savings you can become a member and for even more savings you can volunteer ounce a month. It is open twice a week, Thursdays and Saturdays with local producers. Everything is organic and no meat at all! People are super friendly and you can have a chat at one of the tables of the Cafe on Saturdays.
