Amazing location and views, but not great for vegans

Offering a vegan option is an afterthought here. Some of the items on the menu are optionally vegan, which generally means taking away the meat or diary without a replacement, but still charging the full price.

There’s normally a spiced apple cake that’s vegan, although they label it as Dairy Free, rather than vegan. On one occasion, they had a vegan scone and it way absolutely delicious, but annoyingly, I’ve never seen it on offer since.

That all said, the coffee and hot chocolate (ask for vegan) is good, and the views are absolutely amazing.

No variety, coffee hit and miss

The location is beautiful, the beach below is particularly special. We live fairly close to drift and mainly like to come here because the location is so good. Sadly the vegan cake is always spiced apple - it's 'ok' but not great. The coffee is hit and miss, for the price I would expect it to be a hit every time. I wish they would diversify their offering.

Pros: Beautiful location, Local independent cafe

Cons: One vegan cake, no other options or rotation, Coffee hit and miss

Stunning Views

I've stopped and grabbed a bite (limited) on a couple of occasions. It's a little remote and the cafe is set in old shipping containers. The food should be better but it's worth stopping here for a coffee and the view. Rain or shine the view is a belter.

Pros: views, remote

Cons: limited

Beautiful location

Cafe in a beautiful location near North Berwick. We only came in for coffee mid afternoon. The vegan options are not clearly labelled but the staff know what is vegan - we had spiced apple cake and a blueberry scone (with jam only as the spread is not vegan). However, the main menu has very limited (if any) vegan options and is quite expensive. This would probably get a high review for non-vegans - if they increased the vegan options and clearly labelled them the happycow review would be higher.

Pros: Beautiful location, A couple of vegan cakes and plant milk

Cons: Very few vegan options, Vegan items not clearly labelled
