Quality vegan options - Edit
I had the Superfood Salad with beets, chickpeas, red beans and avocado on a bed of crisp greens with a delicious citrus dressing. They even had a vegan wine! My husband had the vegan avocado “burger” with sweet potato fries. Both our lunches were great. The outside patio along the Napa River is a lovely place to enjoy your meal. There’s even a gondola on the river!

Nothing is labeled vegan and as hard as the server tried to make it work, the options he gave us would still not be vegan, or he didn’t know and offered us lettuce for the burger “in case” the bun isn’t vegan. This restaurant shouldn’t be on Happy Cow.

Not many vegan options, although the staff were educated. The Impossible Burger was good as expected but the bun and sauce was not vegan. Other option was a salad.😒

Downtown Joe‘s is a popular bar & restaurant in downtown Napa. It is located near Veteran‘s Park on the Napa River. They offer a spicy vegan blackbean burger & a vegan polenta entree. The burger came out more like a scoopful of beans on a bun than a burger and the flavor was just average. I‘m looking forward to trying the polenta next visit. The location is great & I suggest sitting outside to enjoy the view of the river.

Downtown Joe's is a bar in downtown Napa. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They say you can substitute a portabella mushroom on any of their burgers, but I went with their black bean burger. It was very good, with a little kick, and clearly handmade - not a frozen, pre-made veggie burger. It was delicious.
