Thumbs Down - Edit
Double zero was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had at an “upscale” vegan restaurant. The server was not only rude and unfriendly, but she also ignored that we were celebrating a birthday. Not the biggest deal, but a bummer. The pepperoni pizza came out totally burnt. The eggplant calzone dough was raw in areas. The prices were ridiculous for what you get. In a city where there are many other fantastic vegan pizza options, you’ll definitely want to miss double zero. It’s not worth it.

Highly recommended - Edit
I went here with a non-vegan and we both loved the food. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, cacio e pepe and the pepperoni pizza. Everything was good, the pepperoni pizza was by far the standout. My one word of caution is I don't recommend parking in the garage immediately next to the restaurant - $29 if you're there 2 hours. There are other more affordable garages in the area.

Another great Matthew Kenney experience. - Edit
Can’t say enough great things about this place. It’s pricey but worth it. I got the potato pizza and Caesar salad and recommend both. Can’t wait to go back.

Classy but Carryout was no good - Edit
We waited in the restaurant for our carryout pizza, so it was fresh and hot, but the taste was so bad that we couldn't even finish :(

Upscale Vegan - Edit
I paid for parking nearby ($25). This spot is connected to their more upscale Vegan restaurant with different menu items (looking forward to coming back and trying that location as well). I was here before 5pm and I was the only person in the restaurant (which I didn’t mind). Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. I started with the cauliflower. Although it tasted good, especially with the dipping sauce, the coating fell apart easily. The portion size is two large pieces of cauliflower. I moved into the potato pizza. The roasted garlic and rosemary really stood out with each bite. The potato was interesting but I thought it got lost on the pizza. I would like to try something different next time. The eggplant Parmesan is amazing. It was crispy and delicious and a must repeat next time I am here. The chocolate budino was also very good (the whip cream I could do without). A little on the pricey side but not your typical vegan comfort food restaurant.

Almost perfect - Edit
Overall an excellent experience. A minor glitch which I will get to, but which is truly minor.
Read moreFirst the good.
The service was excellent. Waiter 'Ivan' or 'Yvan' was apparently new but extremely present and helpful. He was also cheerful and friendly and made some good recommendations. His greeting was immediate and the water was at the table immediately. So too were the mocktails and the beer.
Wife, daughter and friend had pizza. They were excellent. The dough was good, the dressing was tasty and the size was perfect. A nice, largish, tasty pizza. Still on the good, no make that the great, were the deserts. There were few choices, only two actually, but they happen to be extraordinary: the chocolate budino was exquisite and the tiramisu was divine, and I mean divine. I could go back and just have three portions of Tiramisu and walk out happy.
Now the minor glitch. I guess I've been spoilt... married to an Italian, years spent living in Italy, and more times eating and making eggplant parmesan, both before my vegan days 45 years ago, and every year since. Yes, I'm going to be a tiny bit picky because Double Zero has placed the bar that high. The sauce, cream, etc... of the eggplant parmesan were perfect. What was not perfect was the eggplant itself. My guess, educated guess, is that it was not salted and drained as eggplant has to be to remove the sourness. It tasted like the eggplant was sliced and cooked. That's a no no. I'm happy to be corrected, of course, but I would rather hear back from them that this was a micro recipe oversight and that the next time I go the eggplant will have been made 'sotto sale'. I know, it makes it more difficult to make, but if you're going to make a 'parmigiana di melanzane' you make it right.
Last negative... the parking, but that's not their fault.
We will absolutely be going back.
Pros: Service, 99% of the food, Ambiance
Cons: Parking was very expensive ($22), One single item in our order, Maybe add one or two desert items

I’m literally blown away by how good this food was. We ordered the truffle pizza, cacio e pepe and eggplant parmesan and I swear their macadamia ricotta cheese is so creamy any omnivore would never be able to tell it was vegan! Will definitely be back

I’ve happily been to their other location in PVD many times and this location in Baltimore did not disappoint! The vibe was different, which made it fun and feel like a different restaurant. The food was great, as always. Also appreciated their local beers on tap.

Dined with a group and had a great time selecting items together to share, three pizzas, one salad, two desserts, two mocktails. Everything was scrumptious, and our omnivorous friend was blown away. Recommend the truffle and kale pizza, everyone’s favorite. The vegan Caesar salad was terrific. Don’t miss the chocolate budino!

Vegan pizza in Baltimore's Inner Harbor - Edit
Until about a year ago, if you were vegan, finding dining options in Baltimore's Inner Harbor was challenging to say the least. Then Matthew Kenney opened up two restaurants on Light Street, Liora and Double Zero. Double Zero is named for the type of flour with which they make their pizza, one that makes better crusts. And the difference is obvious. It's the best crust I've had on a pizza.
Read moreDouble Zero is a smaller and darker space than Liora, and it seems they get a fair amount of to go business. When we went early Sunday evening, we were the only patrons dining in, but we did see a few people picking up orders.
Unlike most pizza places, there is no "create your own"; you have to select one of the options they have. They also have two pasta dishes, a meatball dish, a calzone, and a couple of salads. We tried the Caesar salad, but I was not impressed. It didn't have enough dressing, and there was more lettuce than anything else. A good salad has balance, and this was lacking.
The Truffle pizza we ordered, however, was delicious, a perfect mix of toppings and sauce (although this was more like a white pizza, since there was no tomato sauce).
I was disappointed the chocolate flight listed online wasn't available (Kenney now has a chocolate line, Casse Cou, which has an outlet in New York), but the server mentioned that they weren't able to get the chocolates to them. I hope I am able to go there when they offer that because a "flight" of chocolates sounds like an ideal dessert to me. Instead, we split a tiramisu and a chocolate budino (which is like a mousse), both of which were very good.
Liora and Double Zero share a bar and pretty much share drink menus. I ordered a Lavender-Lemon "mocktail," which I found delicious. (Yes, I ordered it at both places.)
Pros: all vegan, really good pizzas
Cons: A bit expensive, Salad option could be better

Impressive food & service! - Edit
If you're in Baltimore you MUST eat here! While visiting the Inner Harbor we walked from our hotel & were instantly blown away by the clean chic decor. We split the VEGAN Meatball Calzone. It was so good, the next day we returned for Brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the VEGAN Caesar Salad & Eggplant Lasagna. Wow! Another outstanding meal big enought to share. Most impressed part was the service we got when we wanted a Bloody Mary that wasn't on the menu. They didn't have tomato juice, so the bartender improvised by straining their decadent marinara sauce & created one of the best Bloody Mary's we've ever had! Now THAT'S service! The Vegan scene in Baltimore is so impressive it has us thinking about moving there, it was that good! Double Zero made our Anniversary get away so memorable & DELICIOUS. We can't wait to return to try more of their outstanding VEGAN menu!

Nice vegan pizza shop in Inner Harbor - Edit
This place has very great tasting food. Beautiful restaurant, great location! They also own the restaurant next door. We tried to order the old bay chips from the other place, but the waittress said they were closed. Much to our surprise, the very nice manager from the other place brought them out to us - on the house! Deserts were excellent, huge servings.
