Ordered afternoon tea for collection. 2 non vegan and one vegan. Picked up order. Non vegan consisted of 4 full sized cakes each, 2 scones each, cream, jam and sandwiches. Vegan was one slice of cake, two scones, jam and sandwiches. Really disappointed with the small vegan box as I ordered the same last year and got 3 cakes and grapes, 2 scones, vegan butter and jam and sandwiches. I expected to get more than one slice of cake considering non vegans get 4 for the same price. They were all large pieces too. I complained and got a call from apologised and promised to send me a voucher via email. It's been over 2 weeks and I have received nothing. Customer service is poor. If you're offering a vegan afternoon tea at least make it consistent with non vegan. If you cannot do this then you shouldn't offer the service. We've had vegan afternoon tea from here on other occasions and it has usually been plentiful.

It's been almost a year and the voucher never arrived and my emails were left unanswered. We regularly had afternoon tea from here and will never go back. Have found someone else local that does it.

Very Adorable British Teahouse - Edit
I came here with my sisters and a friend for brunch. The staff is very kind and helpful; we had amazing service. I loved my cappuccino which had soy milk but unfortunately the food portions were quite tiny. I ate the scone which was bland; and also tried the potato patty (sorry I forgot the name). I’d suggest going here if you’re not that hungry. Very laid back & picturesque place to go with friends.

Call ahead if you want vegan options! - Edit
Dropped in unexpectedly with a friend, so hadn’t been able to call ahead. Although there is mention of vegan options, and possibly even a vegan afternoon tea (?), I think it is essential to pre-book as when I visited in Autumn 2021 the only thing they could offer was a flapjack. Was informed hot chocolate wasn’t vegan either.

Great effort for afternoon tea - Edit
I took my mum for afternoon tea, called the day before to ask about vegan options for me - they informed me they would get a cake made & had a couple of vegan options for sandwiches. The staff were very informed, even told me the bread was vegan. There was even strawberries dipped in vegan chocolate!
