Meh - Edit
If you get dragged to this place, you got one option- paying $19 dollars for a vegan roll. 8 little sushi pieces that are lettuce wrapped. If you want anything else vegan, you have to request that they remove stuff (yes, even the vegetable options on the menu). I wouldn’t come back here on my own, and I think my non-vegan friends would think I’m silly if 1.) I just get something called the vegan roll 2.) I’m paying all this money for something small and mediocre.
Read moreGo to tane, have a good time, and enjoy good sushi.
Recommendations- make options easily vegan and make “the vegan roll” more worth its price.
I can’t say that I “disliked” it- but it would need some serious improvement in my opinion when catering towards vegans and leaving a positive representation
I had a good time with friends nonetheless😄

Authentic Japanese 🇯🇵 - Edit
My parents (non-vegan/vegetarian) and I attended Doraku and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of Vegan options! We shared Shishito Peppers, Brussel sprouts and Umami fries, and I had the Vegan Roll! Everything was so tasty and I liked that there were a few options for me to pick from! I’d like to try the tempura veggies, jumpin cauliflower and eggplant next time!

I am obsessed! - Edit
I have no words to describe how good the food and service was here! The brussel sprouts and tofu poke were literally one of the best things I have ever eaten, the eggplant miso and seaweed salad were incredible as well. Our server was so attentive and went above and beyond in explaining everything. I need to come back!

Tasty Limited Vegan Options - Edit
I had the vegan sushi maki roll, tofu poke bowl and green salad. I’ve tried their shishito peppers (hot!) and soft tofu cold appetizer as well. All are very good. The tofu poke bowl was a bit spicey which dominated the salad. The ginger dressing on the green salad and as a side for the maki roll was delicious.

I left hungry - Edit
I asked what the vegan options were here and got offered 3 things on the menu, (vegan roll, edamame and poke salad) going off happy it seems quite hit and miss for what you can have?
Read moreEdamame beans were good but paid $13.50 for a tiny vegan sushi roll some of which only contained lettuce so I left feeling dissatisfied and hungry.

Wish I could give zero stars - Edit
Don’t visit this place. We are so utterly disappointed. The food is bland and expensive for what it is. A lot of items people posted on happycow aren’t actually vegan. Seems they just told them they were. Only saving grace is the service. Our served was very helpful but in the end that means food with no sauces or flavour. Big thumbs down.

Vegan friendly - Edit
You can put together a vegan meal here with a handful of vegan items like the vegan roll, the tofu poke salad, the griller oyster mushrooms, and some side dishes like the seaweed and cucumber salads (Sunomo salad I think is what it was called). I didn't like the Sunomo salad though. They used too much vinegar. Maybe they just prepared it poorly that day? This was enough food for my wife and I and made for a nice lunch. I would come back again. My 3 star rating is more like a 3.5.

We had the king oyster mushrooms and miso eggplant and they were both delicious! Highly recommend the miso eggplant - lots of flavour and juicy! Lots of other veggie options such as cucumber and avocado sushi rolls, edamame, seaweed salad.

Not bad, some vegetarian choices - Edit
A few vegan choices but mostly seafood dishes. The poke tofu bowl was a bit spicy and so beware. The laughing Buddha roll was just vegetarian sushi roll with a fancy name. Service was good.
