What a find!

They'd been on my list of places to visit for a while and we finally went yesterday and loved it!

It's run by brilliant humans and the menu is full of delicious choices, that are vegetable-focussed but really tasty.

Brilliant coffee, great smoothies and food full of flavours

Just had lunch there that was worthy of a really fancy restaurant, with spiced up veggies, delicious mash, and some protein balls that seemed very much homemade and delicious.

The staff was very friendly, the place is the right size, cosy but not cramped, good number of tables, well spaced.

I liked everything about the place, I wish I lived closer.

Pros: Food flavours, Coffee fair/direct trade, Space

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We are really glad you enjoyed your visit with us - it was lovely to meet you all (and yes, the meatless balls are protein packed and very much homemade with no “fake meat” in them. 💚

My mom asks if you have a cookbook you use, or if you run a culinary blog.... OR is it all creative juice of the cosmos inspiring you on the go...?

I’m afraid I don’t have a cookbook or culinary blog but I’m flattered that you even thought to ask - most things have started as a recipe and been modified over the years as I have veganised them and then made many gluten free as well. Never say never though, I suppose.

Faultless

Found this gorgeous spot courtesy of Happy Cow.
We had breakfast here and it was incredible.
I had breakfast muffin with extra masala beans and turmeric chai latte, OH had the half and half.
My daughter had full vegan breakfast with banana milkshake and her OH had granola bowl. Came to about £40 for all! Great value.
The owners were super friendly and we left feeling more like friends.
The food was top quality and all homemade. My personal fave was the mushrooms, cooked with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. The sourdough toast was incredible. It was so good we went back the following day and I had the quiche and OH had the small pate plate. We shared a Norfolk Shortbread. The food here is consistently fantastic.
Honestly thinking of booking our next holiday close by so we can come back!
Cannot recommend highly enough!

Pros: Top quality food, Great choices, Really friendly staff

Cons: It’s not close to my house!

Amazing food! Worth a visit

One of the best vegan cafes I’ve been to in a very long time! Very reasonably priced! Amazing friendly service.
We all had the breakfast muffin and it was so delicious, full of seasoning. then we shared a massive vegan waffle. 10/10

Dog-friendly, vegan gem

We are in the area for a few days, having traveled down from Staffordshire to visit family, so checked Happy Cow for recommendations. I’m glad I did as this place was just what was needed.
A cozy little place with very friendly staff, a fully open kitchen so you can see everything being prepared and, importantly for us, well-behaved dogs are welcome.
We were only stopping for coffee and cakes but the selection was excellent and the cakes were delicious.
The only negative is that Door to the Cosmos is so far from our actual home!

Pros: Delicious cakes, Friendly staff, Dogs welcome

Popped in for coffee and cake.

Really nice lemon cake, and good coffee.
Looks good menu for lunch. Few toys and books for kids.

Pros: Nice friendly atmosphere., Short walk from pier.

Delicious and lots of choice

All the food options are vegan, I think they just offer dairy for drinks for some reason. 3 of us went and had 3 different meals and all were delicious and generous portions. In fact I struggled to finish mine but that’s much better than not having enough! Good value especially considering it’s freshly made. Cake options looked amazing but I was too full - maybe next time!

Pros: Good portion sizes, Affordable, Plenty of choice including desserts

Cons: Don’t think they have toilets (but didn’t ask)
