Read moreI love that they have plant based donuts, a handful of options. I found the strawberries and cream to be a lot prettier than it was tasty, but the other donuts were excellent. I especially like the biiiig donuts, those are fun. And a huge shoutout to this family run business for their artful labeling with a green leaf next to each plant based donut. This is a best practice for menu design that works for vegans without deterring omnis. They do vegan donuts so well that I hope Donut Bar expands their selections.

Very stale - Edit
The vegan selection was decent, but the donuts were very stale. I went at 8:00 AM, assuming they’d be fresher than the ones available during their afternoon hours, but they were very bad. I spent $20 for four donuts, and we ended up throwing them all away and finding something else for breakfast.

Offers a wide variety of vegan donuts. We tried all (but one) of the vegan donuts they offered that day. They were all fine, but not exactly my cup of tea. To be fair, I don’t love donuts and prefer more traditional flavors but my boyfriend loved them, so I will give Donut Bar 3 stars. The salted donut we had was very very salty, but it could have been an off donut. Not the best vegan donuts in San Diego, but a contender.

I walked in and was immediately impressed by all of the vegan options. I’d say about half their donuts were vegan. They tasted great! Only down side was that they were a little pricey. We ended up getting 5 donuts and spent $20
