As soon as you step into the restaurant you feel the relaxing cool ambiance! The server was kind and engaging. The food was off the charts good. I had the Motherload tofu scramble & my friend had the Certain Shade of Green pizza. The flavors make this dinning experience special. We will be back!

The Widow is the most interesting pizza I’ve ever eaten. Such a delightful surprise. The Really Good Salad is appropriately named and was a great complement to the pizza. Highly recommend for a nice night out.

Great Vegan Pizza - Edit
Went here for lunch on a weekday. There were many things that looked amazing but tried the thunderkiss 65 pizza. It was delicious. Their homemade vegan cheese is to die for. Parking is a little tricky, but we parked across the street and had a really short walk at the light so don’t let that deter you . Wish I had room to try more food, as the pizza was perfect.

We shared a Really Good Salad, Lasagna and Pizza Fungazi. Everything was great, service great as well. I liked the food more than my pescatarian partner who does not enjoy vegan cheese so much. I also had a glass of wine and wished it were fuller... We had to take lasagna leftovers home.

I am so happy to have found Donna Jeans. After the first time, I was thinking about how good the food was for days afterwards. Everything is made in-house from scratch and you can’t go wrong with any dish. Some of my faves are the pizza with truffle dipping sauce, the agnolotti, and the mac and cheese… truly it is all out-of-this-world good! My partner and I make a point of coming to dinner and brunch every week (the French toast is a must try!). They just remodeled their interior with comfy booths, there’s always great music playing, the staff is amazing, and the service is excellent. It’s a gem of LA for sure!

I’ve lived in LA for 10 years and this is the best made from scratch vegan restaurant in the city. The pizza is hands down better than any pizza I’ve had here including Purgatory. The pasta is cooked to order and is phenomenal. Great Mac and cheese. The French toast at brunch is to die for.

The food here was amazing, it’s not cheap but it’s good quality. They had really interesting, unique options on the menu that I’d never seen before. We got the hot shrooms appetizer and I LOVED it, it was very meaty/hearty and balanced flavors really well with the spice, pickles, and they gave us ranch on the side. We also got the fungazi pizza and the pizza with breaded eggplant & balsamic on it. Everything was really tasty!

i have been vegan for years, but this is the first restaurant i've been to that's run by a legit bread nerd, and i say that as the highest compliment. there is a literal library of bread-making books throughout the restaurant, and it shows in the quality of the food. order anything flour-based and you will be thrilled: bread, pasta, french toast, biscuit, pancake, pizza. everything tastes like a unique, best version of itself.

Donna Jean is one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. I literally inhaled all of my food. The HOT SCHROOMS and dipping sauce were delicious, the pizza was insane, the pasta was perfect, and even the salad was excellent and I don’t even like salad. Dessert was SEMOLINA OKIVE OIL CAKE and it was light and yummy.

Thrilled to have a fully vegan pizza place in the neighborhood, especially one as impressive as Donna Jean. This is high quality pizza that you can indulge in when you just want to stuff your face, but also feel good about when you want to be a bit fancy. Please don't just order the pizza, though. Get the bread with dipping sauces, and get the maitake hot wings.
