Specify vegan - Edit
Okay food but be sure to specify vegan when ordering. Despite the menu showing certain items as default vegan on the free from page the calzone was served with dairy cheese. Manager made this seem like our fault despite what the menu showed and clearly annoyed at having to remake the dish.

Found this place on here after seeing some great reviews.
Read moreWe went on a Sunday just after they opened so we were the only ones in for most of our visit which was great. Staff were friendly too. The place has a nice vibe and it's good to support a family run business.
The menu has clearly labelled vegan options which is great. The pizza section advises all pizzas are available with a vegan mozzarella for an extra £1. They also offer gluten free bases if that's what you require.
The menu also has a 'Free From' section.
I wanted pizza so asked for the Margherita pizza from the free from section with added mushrooms. The pizza was very nice.
My non - vegan partner enjoyed his Calzone very much too! We will be back!

Love eating at Donatello - tomato garlic pizza bread is amazing. Bruschetta is amazing. Love just getting a simple spaghetti pomodoro for my main, it’s delicious. Adam always looks after us when we go in.

I thought this would be a choice of two pasta options but there’s more choice - and they offer the option of making the pizzas and garlic bread vegan. I chose the mushroom, artichoke and pepper pizza and it was great. Lovely base, great toppings. Nice environment, good, friendly service.
