Vegan fajitas for two!!

Hold the sour cream, cheese, and black beans and this dish is vegan. The refried beans are vegan We’ve tried vegan fajitas at several Mexican restaurants around town, and these are by far the best! Onions, peppers, squash, zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, and spinach. They aren’t heavy with oil like some other places. #Veganuary

Updating the facts

We visited Don Pepper bc the description mentions beans and rice being vegan. We figured add veggies and avocado and we could have a pretty filling burrito. Thank God our server, Sergio, knew what was up. So: rice is cooked with chicken broth, black beans are cooked with bacon, and of all things, the refried beans are safe (totally vegan). The use dairy butter for the grilles veggies, so ask for steamed. Guac is extra creamy, but probably just bc they puree the acacado: totally safe. You can sub a "salad" (taco lettuce and pico) for your side of rice. If you want dressing, the italian is safe.

Pros: Possible substitutions, Knowledgeable servers, Great chips'n'salsa

Cons: Very limited vegan choices
