Horrible service received

It was an not crowded afternoon during a Wednesday at 1.30pm. my wife and me went to pack some vegetarian lunch for our relatives. When we order for the food. The cashier highlighted to us the we will have to wait for 20-25 mins. We told her that in this case we will be waiting inside the stall where there is air conditioner. She straight away raise her voice and said you are packing your food. Therefore you can only sit outside/ outdoor. But it was not justify. When the shop were not filled with customers and there were plenty of seats around for us to sit around while waiting. I believe that their service can improve. No matter you are dining in or packing your food. You are still a customer. Receiving equal treatment is necessary.

Love their classic Yong toufu, roti John and guo tie! Delicious as always!

Amazing dishes- their ytf has so many variety with the Indian rojak. They always refry the fried items so it’s crispy and served separately! Roti John the bread is fragrant with cedar paste and curry is impeccable! Guo tie filling is full and so light, it’s morish! Environment needs immediate improvement though. It’s warm and dirty looking. New aircon please!

Unacceptable waiting time

Can't handle crowd then don't activate delivery app and make people wait for more than 1 1/2hr still preparing food.
有钱赚谁也要, 不要太过分啦

Pros: Acceptable food quality, Neighbourhood area

Cons: Waiting time, Fake timing on delivery app, Waste of time

one of my TOP FAV stores

one of the places i frequent often for quick, yummy and affordable meals! always leave w my pants almost bursting LOL bc the portions are generous and you can’t resist finishing the food 😫 my friends and fam agree this place is great!

here’s some dishes i love, *** = 100% recommend!:

***1. curry ramen (dry) $5
thicccc curry sauce w chewy ramen noodles & some good mock chicken and potato slices. huge portion

***2. rojak (their homemade fried popiah goes well omg)
love the sauce. personally like their fried beancurd skin, broccoli (tastes like oyster lol), fritters and firm tofu! all for $6.

***3. steamed pomfret $14

***4. handmade gyoza $4
juicy pan fried dumplings, goes well w some ginger and vinegar on the side

***5. claypot mixed mushroom with chicken cube $9 regular/$12 large
look out for this one looks on the board, on the left or the aircon w only the chinese name. love the sauce.

6. tomyum soup $4 regular/$6 large

7. braised brinjal $7 regular/$10 large

***8. olive fried rice $4/$7/$10
super fragrant. don’t forget the green chilli!

***9. buddha’s delight rice 4.50
smaller portion but w lotta veg but the sauce is so good!

10. roti john

drinks!
***11. luo han guo $1.40
love this drink esp if cold HAHAH

12. honey yuzu drink $2.70 hot/$3 cold
not too bad if you consume honey

other dishes i tried, mediocre:
1. tomato/ketchup noodles/ramen (forgot the name)
2. hokkien mee
3. vinegar pig trotter (go to greenland vegetarian, they do it best for this dish)
4. dumpling ramen soup

Pros: lost of vegan options, quick service and food served quick, friendly staff

Cons: crowded during peak hour (aka good food! 😂)

One of the best places so far

We've tried a few places in Singapore over the past week since being here and this place is so far the best place. Extremely speedy service (with a smile - very friendly and helpful staff), AMAZING food, very good prices and an incredible variety of dishes to choose from. Everything we chose was fantastic and I highly recommend getting the mala dish - it is THE BEST! If you like spicy, of course.

The testament to a good restaurant is that the food was so good and we wanted to eat it straight away, that none of us took photos of the food! We ordered so much food, walked out extremely full and only paid $12.50 each (including two drinks each as well!) Best place so far and definitely will come here again.

Pros: So many options to choose from, No eggs are served here, Cheap

Cons: None at all!

doughy

The title was the only thing I took away from this place. While everything definitely tasted very fresh and handmade, every dish we ordered - noodles (with really really generous amounts of not-to-salty gravy), potstickers and siew mai - had a strong flour taste. I didn’t like the siew Mai due to how overpowering the alkaline taste was. The potstickers were pretty decent, but the skin was on the thicker side, while I prefer thinner skins.

If you are heading over, I will suggest trying some food that isn’t wheat based, if you are not a fan of the flour taste.

Pros: healthy , affordable

Cons: doughy

Delicious Dumplings and Ramen

The restaurant has been taken over by Zizai but the name still remains the same. No more Xiao Long Bao, but you can still try their yong tau foo, ramen and potstickers. They also have Shandong pancake.

I had the mushroom ramen, siew Mai and potstickers, definitely recommending the potstickers!
