Journey more exciting than the food - Edit
To get here, pass the Starbucks in T2’s public area. At the customs desk, keep straight/left, then turn right for the staircase (lifts don’t serve level 3M), which you’ll need to climb 2 or 3 floors to reach the canteen at level 3M. Ding Shang is at the corner end.
Read moreThe food was comparable to the average pan-Asian fast food booth in Europe: Everything (including the different types of noodles) is drenched in oil.
I seem to have ordered too many mock meats/veggies as I ended up paying SGD 16 for two plates.
Because of the rather bland and unhealthy food, I would not come back here.

I have to say the instructions are wrong. It is not in the basement but on level 3M. The best way to get there: In the main hall before passing security, find the public Starbucks. Keep walking straight, pass the Customs counter (keep left), then turn right. There will be a lift that says it doesn’t serve 3M. You will have to take the staircase (3 floors).

Best meat-free eatery at Changi - Edit
There are many places at Changi to get good plant-based meals, but unfortunately almost all of them also serve meat. For those of us who prefer to give our money to businesses that don’t trade in flesh, there are tragically few options (two of which are mediocre places serving Indian dishes mostly lacking green veggies). That makes Ding Shang currently the biggest fish in the small pond of meatless restaurants at Changi (though unfortunately they do serve egg).
Read moreYou can order two ways here: from the buffet-style display case or from the menu. The latter will ensure the your food is fresh and hot, which isn’t always a given for the display case, though I had pretty good luck with the latter.
Most of what’s on offer is vegan and allium-free, but there is some egg, so best to ask.
Prices are lower than most other airport restaurants. Cash only, unless your mobile is set up for scan-to-pay.
As others have noted, the best way to find the place from T2 (landside) Level 3 is to go out to the M2 parking lot and take the stairs or elevator up to L3M. Follow the “Foodies” signs.
The seating is mostly hawker food court-style, but if you go all the way to the far end there are tables with a lovely garden view (see photo), making it actually quite pleasant.

Generous portion - Edit
Came her before my flight. They open at 6:30am. I had the noodle. The taste is nice. But slightly hard to find. A staff here enjoys staff price. 😊

Varieties - Edit
One of the most affordable vegetarian food in airport especially in Terminal 2. Located at Level 3M food court, easier access thru car park lift at 2A side. Stir-fried noodles/ fried rice / fish beehoon soup : are however not available. They do use diary and eggs in their mix rice dishes, but you can opt them out when picking your dishes.
