Really tasty options - Edit
The server was very helpful in helping us figure out the vegan options. I personally think there could be more protein options for vegans but thats okay because everything was tasty.
Read moreI would highly recommend the noodles with sesame sauce (ask for vegan noodles) and steamed sesame buns.
The steamed veggie buns were not my favorite but the dumplings were quite nice.

Tasty! - Edit
I loved the flavors of this restaurant, but I didn't realize just how expensive it really was until I got here. $14 for a plate of sauteed cabbage, no sides, pre-tax and tip. Definitely a meal to get out with other people, there's so many options and they all looked delicious!

So many options - Edit
This may be my new favorite spot for vegan fare. I loved it as an omnivore and was a little worried about being disappointed returning as a vegan. It did not disappoint!
Read moreAll of my favorite vegetable dishes are the same goodness. The cucumber salad is to die for I also recommend the broccoli and the green beans. The seaweed salad is really good but don't plan on sharing it. The portion is small.
The vegan dumplings are good. I think the best item is the spicy vegan wontons.
The only item that did not hit the same was the vegan bau.

Love the vegan options! - Edit
The only thing I'll add to the many reviews already posted are photos of the ordering sheet used by servers. You will see they clearly designate which items are vegan.

Outstanding Dumpling House with vegan options - Edit
I've been to several DTF's in the past, prior to adopting a strict plant-based diet, so I was a tad uncertain as to whether my prior excellent experience would be replicated when restricted to the vegan options. I was not disappointed! Great vegan dumplings, fantastic spicy wontons, tasty vegan hot and sour soup, and some great vegan spicy noodles. Beware, you're unlikely to get in without a reservation, as this restaurant is really popular, at least on the weekend. For those who love Chinese food, as I do, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Great spot for vegans in the city centre - Edit
This is a great place to go if you're with non-vegans as everyone can find something they like. I've been three times and each time experienced wonderful service. There are a lot of vegan dishes - I think I have tried almost all of them and haven't been disappointed. I'd recommend trying to get outdoor seating to enjoy beautiful views as you eat.

Lots of vegan options, not that great quality - Edit
Pros: plenty of vegan options clearly labeled on the menu. highly recommend the red bean buns for dessert.
Read moreCons: the vegan dumplings and buns use the same ingredients so they don't taste any different. Also the restaurant quality itself seems to have gone down, DTF is less sanitary and very crowded now

Absolutely Delicious - Edit
Many vegan options. Every dish I ate was wonderful including the rice cakes, tofu/seaweed salad, Bao dumplings and pot stickers. Many vegan dessert options. The poppyseed Bao was great, sweetened to perfection and not overly sweet. The chocolate dumplings were fantastic, almost melting in your mouth.

Absolutely amazing - Edit
I had the vegan wonton soup, vegan vegetable buns, and a vegan sweet taro bun! All of the food I tried was amazing, my favorite being the wonton soup, it was so so good. The vegetable buns were great dipped in their vinegar/chili flake/soy sauce! They also have quite a few more veg options. Everyone was so friendly and polite.

So many options! - Edit
I was so pleased to find a lot of veggie options at a non-vegan restaurant. And everything tasted great and was clearly labeled on the menu! They forgot a part of my takeout order, but customer service was great and resolved it quickly. If it was fully plant based, they’d get five stars!

4 stars for amount of options - Edit
A TON of vegan options clearly marked, however, the vegan dumplings and vegan buns were a little underwhelming. The soy sauce/vinegar/ginger mix helps, but the plain filling is, well, plain. Conversely, the mains we had (garlic broccoli and vegan rice cake dish) were excellent!

Fabulous and fluffy bao buns - Edit
Great meal, I would say the best parts were definitely the spicy vegan wontons and vegan bao buns. I also had wood eared mushrooms, which have a consistency like seaweed. Overall, I would definitely eat here again, when I went to do take out, the actual restaurant was buzzing!

Use the dipping sauce! - Edit
I was a little underwhelmed by the noodles but they were quite good. Mixing the soy sauce vinegar chili oil and ginger totally elevated the game. The buns and beer were good too.

Din Tai Fung - oh how I've missed you! - Edit
The last time I went to a Din Tai Fung was in Manila before I became vegan, and then in the on in Hong Kong as well. A friend of mine suggested Din Tai Fung as he had been there numerous times and noticed there were many vegan options. I was so shocked - there were more options than we could possible eat in one sitting. The cocktails were unique, and the service was exceptional. I need to go back to Seattle just to eat here again!!!
