Plenty of vegan options including vegetable kottu, vegetable rice and curry and string hoppers. Owner understands what vegan means and will happily adapt other things on the menu to make them vegan. cute little place which feels just like someone’s garden/garage but the owners are lovely. wasn’t sure it was open at first but walk in and someone should be there if you shout haha. food took a while to come but you know it’s freshly prepared and authentic.

Wanted to love it.... - Edit
After reading many good reviews, I so badly wanted to love this place. However, it was average at best. I had a lime juice and vegetable kotthu for dinner and really didn't think either was fantastic. Yes, the owners were lovely; but the kotthu was bland and heavily oiled. After almost a month in Sri Lanka, there's no way this is "some of the best food in the country".

Rice and Curr-aaazy good food - Edit
We stumbled in here on our way back from the beach last night and were enthusiastically greeted at the entrance. The menu didn’t have a lot of veg options but right at the top was Vegetable Rice and Curry for 550rp. Within 10 minutes we had a plate of 4 different, fresh curries and rice which were all delicious. When finished we were offered more but the portions were healthy enough.

Highlight of the trip so far! - Edit
Goodness me I feel so wholesome after leaving this place. We first came for dinner and ate rice & curry and kotthu, (both pretty cheap around 300-400 rupees I think) both absolutely incredible tasting. We got talking to the (beautiful and kind) chef & owner who told us she makes all her spices from scratch. This woman puts her heart and soul into her food. We ended up doing a cooking class with her & it has been hands down the best Sri Lankan (and Indian) food We’ve ever eaten. Owner understands what vegan means and was more than happy to accomodate. Our class was private and very authentic, just in her kitchen out the back. We made about 6 vegan dishes that used low amounts of oil and freshly squeezed coconut milk. She teaches you how to use spices and explains how to make them. Cannot recommend enough! So kind😄

Always a quiet lunch - Edit
Delicious and fresh food. If you go here for lunch, prepare to be the only customers and enjoy the silence and meals prepared. The owners respect veganism and will make dishes as you want them. Kutto is 400rupees and vegetable and rice set menu 700 rupees.

We had a nice dinner here. The vegetable curry is delicious and the portions are generous. The vege kottu was incredible and I had serious food envy. The fruit juices are also nice and fresh and the staff are so so lovely, they really make the place!

Incredible incredible - Edit
WOW! This was seriously the best Sri Lankan curry I have had so far. Oh wow. Not expensive- I think £9 for a curry, kottu and two juices. The pumpkin curry, oh my goodness. If you are here, you must must go. This is my first review on here, I’m terrible at writing one. But I knew I couldn’t not!

Great Vegetable Curry! - Edit
We ate here 3 nights in a row, always having the rice & vegetable curry as it was so good! The people that work here are super friendly & once you’re finished they ask if you want some more. We definitely took them up on this offer! Simply brilliant Sri Lankan curry.

Fresh and great - Edit
Home made from scratch using only fresh ingredients and you will have your plate refilled too - can't complain. Owner is very nice and vegetarian herself. She will tell you about her garden, local food etc. Double price to a local eatery, but i strongly recommend paying for the quality.
