Great food wrong location

I ate here tonight and the food was great, they have a range of mock meats but also great vegetable dishes, I love it.

However they have moved to 15b Trang Thi, now called 'lean & green' my understanding is they have become part of another restaurant which does serve meat but the vegetarian menu is 70% would definitely recommend.

The service was good too.

Pros: good service, excellent food, good decor

Cons: wrong location

our first choice

For the duration of our stay in Hanoi, this became our first choice. Not only because it was by far the cheapest, but also in that it was the one that catered most for a vegan palette.
There are some great teas to wet your appetite, such as cinnamon, anala vegetarian tien or atiso flower. They have some nice sweet and sour main options, or cinnamon and tamarine sauces. A nice selection. Basic, but tasty.
A main meal will cost anywahere between 30,000 and 70,000 dong inculding rice.

Pros: fasty and friendly, good value/ cheapest in town, plenty of vegan option

Best vegetarian restaurant in Ha Noi

I've lived here for 18 months and this is the best of its kind here. Friendly staff, great vegetarian Vietnamese food, and cheap prices. Just keep in mind that nothing here will be organic and that the food is greasy and oily.

Pleasant and Inviting

Three of us shared a perfectly nice meal here. It wasn't a super-memorable meal, but it's centrally located, food is freshly prepared, and there's a decent variety of dishes. As in many other Hanoi restaurants, a number of items on the menu aren't actually available on a given night, so try to go with the flow...

Pros: friendly and helpful staff, some English spoken

Cons: number of items not always available

Vegetarian Food for Vegetarians

A great experience. It was comforting to eat tasty vegetarian food that hasn't been prepared in a kitchen which also prepares meat dishes. The tables are a lttle low because of the design so are a little uncomfortable for tall westerners. The beer was not as cold as we would have liked. The yummy food more than made up for these few things. Well worth a visit.

Pros: Great vegie food, Plenty of seating, Value for money

Cons: Uncomfortable furniture, Warmish beer, A lttle hard to locate

Best in Hanoi

Out of several restaurants we tried in Hanoi this one proved to be our favourite, and we returned a second time. Both times we tried several dishes and all were prepared with care and very flavourful.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Good value

Pleasant Meal

Really enjoyed our meal here. We had about seven dishes, and they were all fairly good. The dumplings and rice paper roll appetizers were excellent, and we enjoyed the spare ribs (mock) as well. My only complaint was that the portions are really small. The prices are certainly fair, but you had to order a lot to get satisfied. The spare ribs had no more than 5 on the plate. Otherwise a tasty and enjoyable meal.

Pros: God variety

Cons: Small portions

On a second visit, I had the amazing whitefish, and specialty beef wrap. These were the best two dishes I had there, and are worth ordering!
