Lovely sorbettos! - Edit
Having looked at HappyCow and thought a different place serving gelato would be open and being disappointed that this wasn't the case, I was happy to see options here.

Nice pizza but pasta was better missed - Edit
Great service from the staff. Fairly basic inside but a busy environment. Opted for pizza and pasta where things can be veganised from the menu. Pizza base was lovely but barely any vegetable topping. There was nothing very Italian about the pasta - supposed to be a tomato and garlic sauce but was just pasta and tinned tomatoes.

Seaside Delights - Edit
Located right next to the beach, Di Meo's is perfect for a day out with family or friends. We stopped off for some vegan ice cream with chocolate chunks and it was delicious. There is only one flavour currently but hopefully there will be many more to come. On our second visit we sampled the mixed veg pizza and were not disappointed. The pizza was delicious with a really good vegan cheese, toppings and base. I highly recommend a visit.

Super friendly and helpful waitress, tasty pizza which came quickly. Good value (pizza offer weekdays 12-5), filling and tasty. Tomato garlic bread cooled down quickly so if you want it as a starter then ask for it to come first! Restaurant easy to find.

Vegan ice cream by the seaside - Edit
Perfect creamy vegan ice cream. The day I went they had cookie dough ice cream which was so delicious I made a special trip back to Whitley Bay a couple of days later just so I could have another.

Great Vegan Pizza Five Stars! - Edit
Had the vegan mushroom pizza and a side of fries. The food was great and there were seats outside where we could sit with our dog. The girl who served us was very friendly. Would definitely come back if I am in the area.
