Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers pizza and salads. Has vegan cheese and the veggie pizza comes with many toppings. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 4:00pm-10:00pm.
Sometimes you just want a vegan pizza. I'm not talking about dough with red sauce and a few veggies, or flatbread with some nooch sprinkled on it, I'm talking cowabunga, pizza party pizza stacked with toppings and vegan cheese.
For some reason, Cleveland Hts. and Cleveland in general is seriously deficient in good vegan pizza. Dewey's has recently started offering vegan cheese, so you can now get a decent vegan pizza with plenty of vegan cheese and veggies. It's not cheap, there is an additional fee for swamping dairy with non-dairy cheese (this suggests that the vegan cheese is more expensive for Dewey's to purchase) as well as added fees for additional veggies.
All that said, the pizza is okay. Sometimes when I order they mess up and add dairy cheese or muck up the toppings but they do tend to remake them relatively quickly. One of the many times I went the dough was still raw. We all make mistakes, right?
Overall, it's okay. It's not great, but given our lack of choices it's something I'll continue ordering from time to time.
They have some really good salads that are still good without the cheese. Their loaded veggie pizza is great without cheese. They will also cook your pizza with vegan cheese if you bring it in. It's a fun environment and family friendly and they have a good beer selection.
