Regular pizza - Edit
The pizza was okay and vegan cheese and sausage was available to order so it was easy to veganise their main offerings. There were also a few vegan starters but none of the pasta dishes were. I wouldn’t rush back but it was fine and the staff were friendly.

Limited Vegan Options - Edit
The pizza I had here was tasty and a nice option. The cheese was a really nice vegan cheese and the base was really nice. The staff were super friendly here and the resturant has an upbeat and chilled vibe. However, they have such limited vegan options that I wouldn’t return. The vegan margarita pizza was pretty much the only vegan option on the whole menu. I would recommend if you want a simple and classic vegan pizza in SF but they definitely need to improve their menu.

Delarosa - Edit
I've eaten at Delarosa twice and my partner and I describe it as "kind of a bust". The appetizers and pizza have always just been bland and expensive. Not very excited about eating here.

Great vibe, good pizza - Edit
I loved this place for having a vegan option. It's totally hip and right in downtown SF. My hotel had tons of meat snd seafood recommendations and were stumped for veg places. I got a yelp recommended margherita pizza with vegan cheese and sausage, and I added artichoke as a splurge. It really was a great thin crust but vegan cheese is often not great, which met expectations, and the "sausage" was vegan chorizo which I recognized and the bar tender (I was seated at the bar) confirmed. It was not amazing, but good and better than I could make. Oh and fresh basil on top too- delish. Bartender was great knowing how to order my vegan Pizza, which was also nice. I did order a slammin' drink called the Last Word. That may have been the highlight, in addition to the easy vegan option. Check it out- its a great place and you can relax while eating vegan in downtown SF :)

Yummy pizza - Edit
Súper trendy place with a very good ambience. The place was packed as we went on a Saturday night, we waited at the bar a bit and then they sent us to a nice little table.

Pizza - Edit
I ordered the margherita with vegan cheese and vegan sausage. The sausage is chorizo, which is even better! I went a whole week craving it and had to come back! Just as good the second time! I will definitely be back! The waitress who helped me the first time went back and forth checking bottles to figure out which cocktail drinks are vegan! 5-Stars!!!

Vegan pizza - Edit
Any pizza can be made vegan by subbing the cheese and meat for the vegan options (diaya and chorizo sausage) the spicy marinara pizza is vegan on the menu (no cheese) a vegan pasta ?marinara and veggies). Seasonal Salads just remove the cheese. Brussel sprouts no aoli, and focaccia bread. Lots of options. Pizza is so good, not good after you take home tho. It gets soggy

Was OK - Edit
The crust and vegan cheese were alright, not bad, not great. Got the vegan sausage but it was chorizo style- not what I would normally put on a pizza.

This deserves a 5 star rating. Amazing food. Service is fantastic. Hostess got us in within 10 minutes even though it was super busy. Food comes out fast. Non-vegans loves this place too.

Good Pizza, Few Options - Edit
I got the vegan pizza and it was quite tasty, but there weren't many other options. The place was crowded and there was a constant draft near the front door. It didn't bother me, but a number of people sat down next to me at the bar, then moved because of the draft.

Vegan pizza not actually vegan

I am so appreciative of this comment, Michaelw. I called Delarosa just now and they confirmed that their pizza crust contains eggs. The gluten-free crust, however, is vegan. We plan to eat there tomorrow with friends, and we all will order the gluten-free crust. I never would have thought to ask about the regular crust containing eggs. Thanks so much for the info!
