Was here for the first time recently and it was amazing. Great, messy burgers, and fantastic vegan soft serve! I especially loved the miso caramel sauce on the ice cream, it's a great way to cut through the sweetness.
Read morePortion sizes are pretty big! I usually have very little trouble finishing my food in restaurants but here it came very close!
The staff was also great, all smiles and enthusiasm! Really great experience overall, I'll be back soon!

Deer mama is a little expensive, but I return you get some amazing vegan food & milkshakes!if you care about making some nice instagram pictures, this is the place to go too 😂 but really, I wish I lived in Amsterdam to go here more often. Very friendly staff as well

The atmosphere is so amazing, I really loved the cute american diner theme and damn do they have a good menu! I ordered a plate of toast with all kinds of toppings and it looked great and tasted even better. On top of that the portion sizes are very large, I'm a big eater but I couldn't even finish it, so you definitly get worth for your money. I definitly recommend going to this place, I sure as hell am coming back for those wonderful looking milkshakes at some point ;)

Me and my Wife came here on our way down to the Albert Cuypstraat market. We had some ice cream (I had pistachio, my wife had Vanilla) and then we had a Pumpkin spice and speculoos milkshake. Loved the place and would recommend. They have hot food also but we didn’t have any.

I went to Deer Mama without planning and had a great surprise. The place is very cute, it looks like an American restaurant from the 50s, with pink decor. The service was good, but we had to wait some time to get served, as there was only one waitress to serve the entire restaurant. The menu is 100% vegan, but it surprises anyone who thinks veganism is synonymous with health. the menu is basically milk shakes, hamburgers and fries. I tried only the milk shake and regretted not having tried the hamburger. The price follows the city average, some dishes may seem a little expensive, but the quality is worth it.

Read moreThe bitterballen are delicious, the char siu is a little light on flavor but the sesame mayo was so good. Loved the crunch and creamy texture play of the avocado fries and the chicken sandwich was really good.
As with many places, I felt the bun was too big for the sandwich and ended up eating half of my sandwich without the bread.
Pros: 100% vegan yumminess, Great flavors and fun combos, Fun vibe and nice waitstaff

Easily my favourite place to eat in Amsterdam. The atmosphere is colourful and friendly. A huge array of bright and tasty cakes. The Mylk shakes are delicious. I recommend the char siu banh mi.
