AMAZING PIZZA & GARLIC PIZZA BREAD

Great if you’re with people who aren’t vegan / veggie. Really cool place to hang out as well. Would give it 5 stars but app won’t let me.

Pros: Delicious food, Massive pizzas for the price , Quirky atmosphere

Great Pizza

Dead Wax is a really cool looking place with great vibes.
Came here with meat eaters previously and also been here with just vegans/veggies too. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas.

They have vegan garlic bread and a decent amount of set vegan pizzas, but they also allow customisation of pizzas to make them what you want!

The vegan cheese they use is a good texture and tasty.

I would recommend the vegan pepperoni pizza, if you're a fan of meat alternatives :)

Pros: Tasty food, Very cool interior and music, Reasonably priced

Cons: Does serve meat

One Hour Later: Still No Pizza

1 hour 15 for a pizza....commenting on anything else would be irrelevant.

Average pizza, loud atmosphere

It may be because they had a 'scratch' night on when we were there but I found the place far too loud. We had to shout to carry on a conversation. The pizza took about 30 min to arrive (at least time it came at all!) and was decidedly average. A bit too soggy for my taste and size-wise the small one is only good for a bit of a nibble. If you're hungry get the big one. The staff was alright though they ran out of pizza dough around 7 on a Sunday.....
Altogether there are better vegan pizzas to be had in Brighton, Purezza springs to mind and the place tries a bit too hard to be hip.

On the fence

Entering you get to the bar (where you have to order and pay everything) and some stools; the next room is more private, just a few tables and dim light; the last room is spacious with many tables, high ceilings and the kitchen.
There are about twenty pizzas on the menu, only four of which are vegan. Two different sizes, whereby the large one is a proper size for one person and the small one only for those who are not really hungry (I have seen some of the small ones being served).
There is a huge range of beers, however only few are vegan.
So I had a delicious pizza and two different beers. They probably use Daiya cheese (or at least one that tasts almost the same). It was pretty awesome to tell you the truth.
Apart from that there is a great atmosphere, great vibes, awesome staff and good music. I loved the decoration (although they were trying a bit to hard maybe to be fair).
On the other side the waiting time was pretty long, maybe half an hour or even longer for a pizza. Also the beers were really expensive; more than five pounds for a small beer in a bottle - that's almost daylight robbery. And not even all were imported. I don't know about the draught beer though; only one out of five or six was vegan, but I didn't try it.
It's definitely a legit place to hang out, but the prices (for drinks) can become fancy for the night. Also, better come with something to slip on as it can be pretty chilly in there.
I'd love to give a better rating, but the shady side is too obvious.

Pros: awesome pizza, awesome venue, great staff

Cons: expensive beer, long waiting time, little in the way of vegan options
