Cheap Delicious and Fresh

I had a fantastic beetroot hummus and pita. It was so good and the price so cheap, I came back the following day. Friendly staff too!

Hummus, say no more!

Stumbled across this little hummus heaven today. Obviously as vegans we eat a LOT of hummus but this was bloody glorious! Shared a big plate, got a couple of extra pitta and some spicy tomato and sweet pepper stew. Absolutely delicious and very fast service. This place is top of my list of recommendations to anyone visting the city.

Pros: Smooooth hummus, Fast service , Nice tunes

Delicious!

Great food, big portions and nice staff. Only down side is that the place is small and it fills up quite quickly.

Cons: Le prix

Really nice hummus

Visited here for dinner. My partner and I got a hummus bowl each, one with guacamole, one with onions and that was plenty for a filling meal! The hummus was lovely, the pittas were freshly made and you got plenty of them!

Great Vegetarian/Vegan Food in Central Amsterdam

I happened to find Hummus House walking around on my lunch break and it was a really pleasant surprise. It's very central, only a couple of minutes walk from Nieuwmarkt or Waterlooplein. The food is really good, you can tell fresh ingredients are used and there's a good selection at reasonable prices. When it's served it's very nicely presented and extremely tasty, I had the classic hummus with pitas, garlic sauce, spicy sauce and pickles with a fresh orange juice and it was all really nice. I highly recommend Hummus House, the staff are very friendly, the service is fast and the quality is high. A+++

Pros: Great tasty food, Friendly professional staff, Good selection of food and drinks

Cons: None

Excellent

What a great place. I’ll had a big bowl of humous with a beetroot salad. You can taste the health coursing through your veins the moment you take a bite. The guys who work there are so cool and friendly. There should be more of these places

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Most items can be made vegan

Cons: Non

Awesome Hummus!

The hummus and pita here are legit! My wife and I got the original to share as a snack. It came with Tahini, Chickpeas, Olive Oil and Fresh Herbs. Pickles and spicy sauce were also served on the side. Everything is made fresh to order. Hot pita straight out of the oven!

Pros: Vegan hummus and toppings are standard, Hot pita, Delicious overall

Room for improvement

Generous portion of hummus and pita bread with a side of salad. Didn’t like the fact that we had to clen up our own table and the restaurant smelled a bit moldy. The personel seemed more interested in catching up with eachoder.

Good hummus

Good for lunch. Vegan options. Would recommend just the pita and hummus for 2. As we ordered too much. But nice place. Reasonably priced.

Nice place

The food was ok, but it was not very refined. Big portions. The potatoes could have been warmed up a little longer.

Pros: nice staff

Cons: food should have been a little warmer. more vegeta

Great hummus

If you are like me and like hummus a lot, you know that 9/10 places sell hummus that is crap... This place has really decent hummus and I come back regulary to have a quick bite! The pitas are also good, and I like the variations that you can make, especially the one with tomatosauce !!

Good choices

This place has a variety vegan options making it a good place for vegans, especially if you go with a friend and can share a bunch of things.

I didn't think it was the best hummus I've ever tried but it was still very good.

Cons: Doesn't take visa

Great hummus!

The place is not really big but it's very cosy and welcoming.
We ordered the hummus plate and some roasted vegetables. The hummus was, as expected, delicious and the vegetables were to die for, especially the cauliflower.
They even have free cucumber infused water, which I absolutely loved!

Pros: Great place, Delicious food, Reasonable prices

Divine aubergine

Great place with loads of vegan dishes. Everything homemade on the spot, the friendly staff is constantly cooking. Super tasty and fresh! For a snack-bar setting the pricing is above average, but the quality of the food is well above regular restaurant level. I have not tried everything yet, since I usually just can not resist the divine roasted aubergine: 2 aubergines with 2 pita and salad for less the 10 Euro. If you replace the salad with a bowl of humus you are stuffed for just 10 Euro.

Pros: Excellent quality/price & super fresh, No meat, little cheese, Location: very close to Nieuwmarkt

Cons: Small snackbar setting, Can temporary run out of dishes, Pickwick tea.. (better stick with fresh mint)

That Makes my Motor Run

This is the original Hummus House just off Nieuwmarkt serving quite sensational hummus with gorgeous optional toppings such as grilled aubergine or spicy chick peas. I'd like to point out that they don't serve alcohol here as at the sister branch near Leidseplein. I do usually enjoy a glass of wine with my lunch when on holiday, but it's not essential. For €6.99 you'll get a fabulous house hummus with additional toppings at €2.50. A truly good hummus house at Amsterdam prices.

Pros: Location, Vegan options, Free wifi

Cons: Soft drinks or hot drinks only
