Not much vegan selection

Meh. For a natural foods store, the vegan selection is extremely poor. Super disappointed to never find most things I want - and then I forget why I don't get there until I finally go again and remember. Sigh....

The one saving grace is some nice prepared foods in the deli section. Potato salad, curry chickpea salad, etc.

Expensive, not a good fit for it's community

I've ended up here a few times and was never satisfied. If they actually had what I needed (which isn't often), it was well over priced.

This company provides little value to the surrounding community. A large percent of the households in its area go out of their way to other grocery store due to the pricing and lack of variety.
For a community that was designed to have all necessary amenities within a walkable distance, this company is not living up to those standards. It's taking up the space another grocery store could use, that could actually serve the entire community.

Cons: Often closed during typical business hours, Way too expensive, Limited options, missing common brands

No my favorite, but has good things

Rather pricey, small, but not packed with the things I like to buy. Has bulk items with no packaging which is a plus. Cafe is pretty good, so food items are better than others. Bread is nice and fresh. The cafe is more reasonably priced.

Pros: Bulk items, In store cafe

Cons: Expensive

Expensive

Their new location is a lovely fancy new building and you are going to pay for it by shopping there. Nothing here you can’t get at two other nearby natural markets for a far better price. I came back last week to give them another chance and the only things that were reasonably priced were things on the discount rack past their sell by date. Maybe their lunch counter is worth it, but I was there before I was hungry, and missed it.

Cons: Costly

no ingredients listed at the deli

I actually love this store, but really do not understand what the big deal is about listing ingredients on deli items. Fortunately, the deli is all vegan (though not all items in the store are), but who knows what oils, starches, sugars or spices are used. Most true foodies like to know these things. I did ask, and the head chef, Barbara, seemed offended by the question. Strange.

Great store / cafe

One of my favorite grocery stores. Wide selection of vegan groceries, hygiene products, to go meals, vitamins, etc. Staff is always helpful, especially Tom! He will order anything out of stock.

Has alot of meat and dairy in the store

David's Natural Foods Market is in a good location, but is expensive. It is between 2 vegan friendly stores that r more expensive than the regular grocery store but at least 4 times cheaper then David's. If u r closer 2 Clarksville I recommend going 2 roots. If u r closer 2 Jessup I recommend going 2 mom's. If u r in the middle I recommend going 2 r roots because it is located in Conscious Corner that has other vegan friendly stores: Nest (clothing and gift boutique), Great Sage (organic, vegan restaurant) and Bark (natural pet food and supplies). David's has a lot of meat and dairy in the store and they don't even try 2 separate it from the vegan food so if u shop there make sure u read the ingredients extra good. (U should always read the ingredients but it is nice 2 stop in a store that u don't have 2 worry as much about meat and dairy when u shop. 2 less things 2 worry about) they don't even have a lot of the basic vegan items like daiya even though it is a big store. They do have a cafe in the store that looked like it was semivegan friendly because they labeled what was vegan but I didn't shop there because the cafe was closed when I went. (They had the menu there) They sell their cafe food to go in a little refrigerator even when it is closed, but they don't do a good job labeling what is vegan and most of it is meat and dairy. The solution 2 that is 2 use their menu even when u r buying 2 go and the cafe is closed.

Pros: location, Big store , Cafe inside store

Cons: most expensive grocery store in the area, Doesn't have basic vegan items (daiya) , Has alot of meat and dairy in the store

A Nice Market

David's has a good selection of items, and most of it is reasonably priced. My only complaint is that it tends not to have a whole lot of soy options (Roots in Clarksville, which isn't far, has far more soy options). Overall, it's worth at least a few trips every so often.

Pros: Many veg/vegan options, Reasonable prices, Polite staff

Cons: Not a large soy selection

Awesome

David's has a great selection of vegan, vegetarian, organic, and omni food, vitamins, cosmetics, skin care, body care, and pet care. They also have an awesome sushi bar and cafe that serves reasonably priced vegan/vegetarian/organic food.

Pros: Organic , A TON of Vegan options, good size
