Still a great spot - Edit
David's Deli continues to be a welcoming place to go. Friendly, knowledgeable staff (both about vegan options and about town), nice indoor and outdoor seating, and delicious vegan sandwiches.

Beyond Amazing - Edit
*Note: The app won’t allow me to give 5 stars because they say it is not fully vegan
Read moreBut anyways I go to this place 1 to 3 times a week because it is that good. Yes they have meat items but a lot of options for vegetarian and vegan. I’m vegan and they go above and beyond to ensure they make me a fully vegan meal from the sandwhich, side to the tea and coffee I drink. They create a new vegan sandwhich often and always change up the variety.
Many teas and coffees to choose from as well and many non dairy milks to add in. The environment is cool, comfy, cozy, laid back and relaxing. It’s more than food for me, it’s my zen place where I go to unwind.
Pros: variety , many vegan options
Cons: wish they had longer open hours

Friendly local coffee shop and deli - Edit
I stopped in for lunch at David’s because I saw online that they offer a daily vegan sandwich. The day I visited it was a cucumber sandwich with hummus, pickles and some other ingredients. Their side salads are all mayo based, so they offered me a vegan side consisting of pickled veggies. They also offer non-GMO soymilk, which I really appreciate!

Gourmet Sandwiches - Edit
This is my new favorite spot in the New Buffalo/Union Pier area. Great iced soy lattes and chais. And they whip up some amazing sandwiches. We're talking *gourmet*. For example, a vegetarian sandwich recently on the board was the "The Vitamin K" that had roasted asparagus from Mick Klug farm in St. Joe, ricotta cheese, McWethy tomatoes, and spinach, with mustard vinaigrette on multigrain toast. They have vegan sandwiches like the "Cucumber Zinger" with multigrain toast, hummus, sautéed Granor greens and local cucumbers with middle eastern spices, and McWethy tomatoes. They use a lot of local and organic ingredients. The sandwiches on the menu board seem to be constantly changing but every time I've been in, there's at least one vegan sandwich up there, often more.

FYI - Little Tokyo is now called Song Asian Cuisine, but still has good vegetarian/vegan options.
