yum fried cauliflower - Edit
Love Dave’s. It’s a trendy bar setting. Me and my friends hang here a lot. Many dishes are customizable to be vegan but I’ve only gotten the fried cauliflower and pita bread with hummus. I recommend the fried cauli and I’m not even the biggest fan of the vegetable anyways!

Good Veg Options, Confusing Menu - Edit
Non-veg restaurant with veg options.
Read moreThe menu could be improved. There's a gluten free/vegan section of the menu with the vegan options marked with 'v's, but there is more on the menu that can be made vegan. Also, if you order the cauliflour bites from the vegan section.... it comes with dairy ranch on the side unless you request that it is left off. I am of the opinion that options that are labelled vegan should not be served with dairy, even if it's just on the side.
ALSO, the other side of the menu has little "v"s that mark vegetarian options... which is confusing.
The pizza can be made vegan by removing meat, cheese, and requestiong that the butter be left off the crust.
Pros: good atmosphere, vegan pizza, live music
Cons: confusing menu, have to be very clear about diet restrictions

Tasty Choices - Edit
Hubby and I had lunch here with some omnivore family members. We split an order of their vegan house-made hummus with pita bread, along with the Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, also vegan. Both were delicious, even the omnivores loved them. For entrees, I had the quinoa falafel wrap which came with fries. Very good! Hubby had the black bean/sweet potato burger. He said it was good but a little too sweet for his taste. Loved the dive-bar vibe, even for Sunday lunch. Waitstaff was very nice and attentive. Food took a little while to come out of the kitchen, so don't go if you're in a big hurry. We'll definitely make a return visit next time we're in Starkville!

Cons: longish wait for food
