Just fantastic! - Edit
This small and unassuming cafe is where I had the best food of my trip to London. Everything was delicious and it really shows that the owner is passionate about making good vegan food. The Scandinavian menu is completely unique in the vegan food scene in London.
Read moreWe got the smorrebrod trio, the cheese and seitan platter, and the Swedish meatballs, and had pastries and hot chocolate for dessert. It's hard to pick a favorite but if I had to, the meatballs were wonderful - served with creamy mashed potatoes, white gravy, a fresh salad, and lingonberry jam.
Don't miss this place!
Pros: Absolutely delicious food , Friendly service , Nice atmosphere
Cons: Not open for dinner

Unusual menu, need to get better with the service - Edit
Was very excited to try Daun’s as finally someone offers original menu in London.
Read moreOrdered one of the open sandwiches(fishy) and Swedish quesadillas for starter. The quesadilla was forgotten so never got to try, the sandwich was bit disappointing, very small and not very tasting of “fish” rather dill tofu “cottage cheese” spread. As main we had the meatballs, they were nice served with very good white sauce, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and cranberry jam.
For dessert we had the in house made miso chocolate ice cream- delicious! And guava one, also nice.
The person serving us was nice, however the service was very slow. Only for the starters (at the end only one) we waited for over 20min, very warm tap water, …
All in it came to about £34, normal for London.
I’m thinking to come back and hope for better.
Pros: Unusual menu, Location
Cons: Slow service

Unusual vegan fare - Edit
Rare to find Scandinavian vegan food. This was very good; plenty of options, freshly made. I had the seitan roast open sandwich, which was modest in size but deceptively filling. The take out salad was equally good value and very tasty. They also sell "honestly tasty" cheese, which is well worth trying if you miss dairy.

Daun's - Edit
I recently tried Daun's and love the atmosphere and the fact they sell their own product (e.g., vegan artisanal cheese) and other vegan products. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the cinnamon roll was not my favorite (it was also dry) and the charcoal artisanal cheese I bought had the wrong cheese inside the container, which was actually peppercorn artisanal cheese. The staff and I talked about how I really disliked peppercorn cheese and they helped me find an alternative flavor (charcoal instead), so I just had to laugh about this happening when I got home.

Mukava - Edit
We already had lunch elsewhere, so only space for a snack. We tried the sausage in a roll, the spicy and non spicy version, both were quite nice. The cinnamon bun could be improved for our taste, it was a bit too hard. From Finland I know the fluffy korvapuusti from Pagen/Gifflar. However maybe the Swedish original is supposed to have a bit firmer dough.
Read moreThe staff was quite friendly and it's really nice that there is a vegan Scandinavian restaurant in London. If we come to London again we will go for lunch here to check out the other options :-)
Pros: Friendly staff, Something new compared to all the fast food places

Delicious lunch options - Edit
I had a toastie with seitan, saurkraut and Swedish mustard, which was perfectly sweet and filling, and a cheeze twist with a tangy harissa mayo. Both were a really nice, fresh lunch option which I could easily take back to the office. Both were reasonably priced and felt like much better value for money than picking up a meal deal close by.
Read moreThe menu was full and there was a great selection of specials available which I'll definitely be back to try soon!
Very friendly owner who was helpful and accomodating despite the cafe being quite busy during the lunch period.
Pros: Takeaway options, Fresh and cupboard items available to buy

Delicious and cool vibe - Edit
Went for breakfast and had the Tunnbrödsrulle (and added Tofish for the novelty factor which was so tasty and not very fishy, which was a plus for me) along with a Swedish black tea and a sparkling water.
Read moreThe sausage in the open sandwich which is the Tunnbrödsrule honestly, per my non-vegan friend, you wouldn't know isn't real meat had you not been told. It was really filling and tasted great along with the rest of the dish.
The vibe inside is cool but given the limited seating, you might want to try go off-peak. A table was reserved but we managed to break off two seats per the staff there. The service was what you'd imagine in a hip vegan establishment: friendly, bit chaotic, weirdly when asking for tap water the waitress would come over with a jug but only pour / top up our respective cups.
My Tofish came out first as they thought it was going to be a shared starter, but the mains quickly followed so there was no issue. It's a very small cooking area so I imagine that if the place fills up at once and a bunch of food orders go in, there could be some delay.
In any event, I highly recommend and I would certainly return.
Pros: Delicious food, Novel options, Cool vibe
Cons: Hold back on the tap water, Quite warm, Limited seating

Lots of amazing options on the menu. Available for a sitdown meal or takeaway. Prices reasonable for London - £8 for a sandwich and salad. Restaurant was quiet but still took 15 minutes for my order to be ready.

Authentic and lovely tastes from Scandinavia ! - Edit
Came in to Daun’s on a freezing Friday, we’ve been received warmly and found here some incredible vg flavours like “Smörrebröd” (tofish fingers and danish remoulade) or Toasties! If you step in London, it is worth to step in Daun’s. Discuss with Daun is a big time 😊

Cute cosy spot! - Edit
Spotted this by chance as it is across the road from Unity Diner. Wonderful owner and menu looks delicious. Range of swedish products available that can also be bought. Really wanted to try the swedish cinnamon buns but they were sold out. Recommend going earlier on in the day as the pastries seem very popular! Tried the swedish chocolate globe which was insanely good. Certainly hope to be back.

A little gem. - Edit
We had a delicious brunch here yesterday. We shared a Scandi inspired cheese and charcuterie board with crackers, jam and pickles and a bowl of houmous with crispy chilli chickpeas and olive oil baked sourdough. The oat milk cappuccino was one of the best I've had! Service was great and we even got to chat to the man himself. Lovely place & looking forward to going back.

New favourite cafe in London - Edit
Delightful cafe in a very convenient location! The food here is amazing, incredibly tasty and well presented. Friendly and helpful staff, good to pop in for a quick coffee and pastry, or a drink (alcoholic or not) along with small plates or a bigger main sized meal.
Read moreHad a h*m and dijon toastie, easily the best toastie I've had in London. And amazing to find vegan pastries, we need more vegan sweet things and they really hit the spot! Cafe is suitable for families, solo or small groups. Lovely decor and relaxing place to sit in or just to grab something on the go.
It's also just opposite Unity Diner, which always seems to be too busy to get a walk in spot. This is a standalone place, but if you head to Unity but don't get in, please don't pass up the chance to eat here.
Very well priced.
Pros: All vegan, Good value, Not processed food
Cons: No cons :)
