Super delicious breakfast spot - Edit
We came here for breakfast/brunch and were not disappointed. We got 3 mains and a dessert, service was friendly and interior inviting.

Only downside is oil used in the food had us both burping toxic oil the entire day following the brunch.
Pros: Selection, Reception, Taste
Cons: Used oil isn't good

Great stop for a snack - Edit
We went to Daun's for a litte midday snack. I had the toastie with garlic mushrooms and camenbert which was really good and super creamy. The camenbert was the best I've ever had. The toasties are super yummy but also really oily and therefore quite heavy. So it's way more filling that expected. We also shared a vegan cinnamon role which was not too sweet and a perfect dessert.

Great Scandi food - Edit
Food was super tasty and a great value, but it took a bit long to come out and when it did it was more warm than hot. Still tasted great though!

Great food. Great service. - Edit
A friend and had lunch here and both opted for the seitan sausage toastie, which was delicious. Also got the cinnamon bun to take back to the office. Service was really good too. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Best Swedish Food in the UK! - Edit
My Swedish heart was so happy to find this little place in east London. Has to have a cinnamon bun Which tasted like the real thing. Coffee was also of Scandinavian strength really good, and the open Sandwich with skater tasted really authentic too. A broad menu showing vegan variations of Swedish classics and great looking selection of pastries. Owner is Swedish and really friendly😄my new go to when in London!

My Breakfast Heaven - Edit
They have cinnamon buns. And great croissants. And toasts. And cinnamon... Well, already mentioned that. Went there twice in a week for breakfast, liked it very much and would like to try more if I ever come back to London.

Swedish style plant based heaven - Edit
After seeing a review on a FB vegan page, I made the effort to visit DAUNS whilst in shoreditch for a concert this weekend. I had the large (no) meatballs with mash, gravy and lingonberries for my lunch (£16). Delicious. My Brunch next morning was the seitan hotdog (£13) with mash in a Swedish flatbread and a couple of sauces that seemingly started a party in my mouth. Certainly not the cheapest (what is these days) but totally worth it. Nice staff and the owner/chef is a really friendly guy too.

Twist on vegan food - Edit
It was really nice to enjoy traditional scandi food with a vegan twist! Entire menu is vegan and delicious. They offer a range of hot and cold options. It is very small and was busy so would recommend reserving or avoiding the main rush. I subbed out mushrooms from my breakfast and got extra beans which was okay, would’ve like more tofu scramble which was amazing!

Daun's was a delightful discovery during my London visit, conveniently located just a short walk from my hotel. Opting for their weekend brunch before a wedding proved to be an excellent decision. While enjoying the diverse array of offerings, including sausage, toasted bread, beans, mushrooms, and potatoes, I couldn't help but ponder how to elevate my homemade tofu scramble to match the flavors I experienced. Each component exceeded my expectations, particularly the herb-infused potatoes and intensely flavorful mushrooms. It was undeniably a fantastic way to kick off a Saturday morning.

Delicious food, great value, friendly staff - Edit
I got the brunch and an oat milk latte, and I shared a cinnamon bun and a pain au Chocolat with Purp.
Read moreThe brunch was delicious! When we arrived they had very few potatoes left, so they only had enough for one brunch. The chef allowed us to choose a substitute for the potatoes in the second breakfast, and we chose extra scramble. The mushrooms were amazing, slightly garlicky, I wish there had been more. The sausage was nice, it was a frankfurter style sausage rather than an English style sausage. The beans were lovely and smoky. The scramble was creamy and mild tasting, but in a good way. The sourdough toast was crunchy and perfectly toasted.
The latte was absolutely perfect. Not too strong, not too weak, and made using Califia Farms barista milk so it was nice and creamy.
The cinnamon bun was amazing! I don't like cinnamon buns to be very sweet, I prefer them to be more like bread with a slightly sweet cinnamon filling, and that's exactly how this one was.
The pain au Chocolat was crispy and flaky, with some very strong dark chocolate inside it. It tasted incredibly buttery and I would love to get another one before our holiday is over.
In total everything came to about £40 and was very filling. I would highly recommend this place, and will gladly eat here again if I get the chance.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Great prices

Tasty brunch - Edit
After spending over an hour trying to find somewhere to get a tofu scramble we finally found Daun's.
Read moreWe both got a tofu scramble breakfast and a latte, and after that a pain au chocolat and cinnamon bun.
The tofu was not what I was expecting but was delicious, the scramble was a more egg like style than i am used to with tofu scrambles but it worked well. I won't describe the rest of it but the brunch was really good.
The latte was nice and somewhat strong, they use califia farm oat milk so that's a major plus.
The pastry was the best version of both a cinnamon bun and a pan au chocolat that I've had from a cafe.
The staff was lovely and the prices were very reasonable.
Pros: Scramble, Nice staff, Pan au chocolat

Good meatballs - Edit
It was a decent plate of meatballs, but I don't think it was anything special. The service was a tiny bit cold, but maybe that's for the immersive experience.
