Campout-weekend was H O T this year, so the lines for both ice cream vendors were terribly long all the time. I got the VCO special; vanille and chocolate soft serve swirled together. The chocolate did most of the talking; I couldn’t taste very much of the vanilla at all. The toppings worked really well though, I just wish they’d served the cones this year!

Vegan ice cream stand selling soft serve made from cashews and almonds. Available with various toppings and in cups and cones. Ice cream was delicious, really smooth and creamy. A bit on the pricey side but well worth a treat.

These guys have nailed creamy soft serve. It was generously topped - the strawberry cheesecake with biscoff crumble was slightly more faithful than the peanut butter cup which was peanutty rather than peanut buttery but still delish - yummy chocolate sauce.

The best vegan soft serve I’ve tried - we had Dappa at their stand at Vegan Life Live 2022. We got the Disco Biscuit (ice cream with various Biscoff toppings) in a cone. It was so delicious – and generous amount of toppings too!

It cans seem a little bit expensive (6£ if I remember well) but the ice-cream is huge. Totally worth it!

They had a range of options including 4 'combo' options and my fiancé & I both went for the Disco Biscuit (basically ice cream with a bunch of Biscoff-based toppings) in a cone. It was excellent – the ice cream was delicious with a good amount of toppings and the cone was really tasty too!

Came out of my way for this after researching online as I love vegan soft serve (especially cashew-based) yet only rarely find it. No issues whatsoever with the ice cream itself, just couldn’t be better— real cashew soft serve is just different and I think, better than any other vegan ice cream!
Read moreThe downsides— this is Dappa’s current permanent location as far as I can tell, it’s hard to find, tucked away in a small sort of food truck area around Brick Lane. You can get the plain/vanilla flavour here as well as a very limited range of toppings (just chocolate flakes when I was there) and a couple of sauces. I can see from their Instagram and advertising they mainly cater to events, set-up at vegan markets, and some restaurants seem to offer their ice cream too, though it’s all a bit unclear.
I can see, though, that they offer at least a couple more flavours and extra, more exciting toppings and sauces at these other venues. Unless you’re really keen just to try the soft-serve as I was and prepared to go out of your way to sit and eat it on a bench, I’d advise waiting til they’re at an event or cafe or something, as it seems like that would be a better experience.
Really can’t fault the ice cream at all though, even in an increasingly crowded vegan market in London it’s a truly unique and special product! Would love to see them get set up with a better permanent location soon with a proper toppings bar, they certainly deserve that.
Pros: Delicious cashew soft serve , unique and special , Decent reasonable price for a cup or cone
Cons: Hard to find (in this location), limited toppings and sauces, 1 flavour only, a truck with some benches, not best experience

It was a weirdly warm, sunny London day, so stumbling across Dappa was a great break from wandering around Shoreditch. I tried the 'What the Fudge' combo which was kind of like a classic sundae but with popcorn as well. The hot fudge was amazing! The ice cream itself was good and had a good texture. The taste was also good. Vanilla is not my favorite so I would love for them to expand to a least one other flavor personally, but I still really enjoyed it!
