All vegan restaurant with a juice bar included. Casual dining and a nice selection of music played if you dine in:) Their menu had a nice selection. Soups, salad, wraps and sandwiches. I was traveling here for a family event so I ordered enough to last me a couple days. I like the mac n' cheese, catfish and beans and rice. I'd definitely would come back here again if I visit the Chicago area.

Good Food - Okay service - Edit
Food is very good, unfortunately if you call they can’t tell you what’s on the menu until an hour before it is ready. (Example - today I called at 12:30, they told me they would know. At 2:00 for 3:00 service). Though they said they would have Mac and cheese, when arrived onsite were told it would be tomorrow. That’s why I drove in. What I ordered was good. Another time they were not open at the designated time and asked me to come back. Since the only other good black owned vegan restaurant in South Suburbs had closed (Karyn’s Kitchen) vegan options are limited

Good food but uncomfortable vibe - Edit
Hate to say this about a vegan place but the staff was weirdly mean to us. BUT the food was very good. As some mentioned, long wait.

Best vegan spot in the South Suburbs - Edit
I was first introduced to Daisy's by some friends who were vegan (I wasn't at the time). It quickly became my go to place to get something to eat as it was close to my job. The food is so good! I've had the seitan rib tips, gyro, falafel, and jerk tacos. There's nothing I've tried that I didn't like! I had their peach cobbler which was everything I hoped it would be. I also tried their smoothies and loved the ones I've tried (the peanut butter surge is my favorite).
Read moreThe atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. They have a lot of repeat customers/"regulars" and you'll often see them talking and catching up with each other which creates a very friendly vibe. When I finally started my vegan journey, I talked with the owner and he was very knowledgeable and more than willing to give me helpful information. They tend to be very busy, a testament to their wonderful food, so call in your order if you can, especially if you're in a rush.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Flavorful food, Friendly and relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Can sometimes be a long wait (but it's worth it)

What a relief from the heat - Edit
A little trouble finding from the bus stop, but a nearby thrift shop steered me in the right direction. Ordered raw spring wrap and very berry juice. How refreshing! Before I left, I noticed that the black bean quinoa burger I'd ordered for a friend was listed as the Jerusalem mac burger, When I told the order taker, he said they were the same, not the least bit concerned.

loved it! - Edit
Im new to veganism so my opinion doesn’t amount to much. But I was taken away how great the black bean burger was. Will definitely be coming back to try more. It’s a very cozy homey style restaurant. Yes the outside is a little sketch just like the other reviews but i loved it.
