Feels like authentic korean food - Edit
If you are looking for a Korean food that is vegetarian, I strongly recommend this place. My favourite food is thier Tangsuyuk and Kimbap. Do try them out if you are going there. The steam egg is no longer being served in this outlet, you will need to go to their Tai Seng outlet (The Boneless Kitchen) if you want to try the steam egg.

Vegetarian Korean Food with Less Mock Meat - Edit
Social enterprise employing special needs staff. One of the few places to get allium-free vegetarian Korean food in Singapore~ Vegan options are clearly indicated. There is more emphasis on natural ingredients rather than mock meat. Some dishes are unique to this branch and not available at The Boneless Kitchen, such as the Samgyetang, Tangsuyok, and Yangnyeom Broccoli. Recently attended a specially curated 5-course vegan dinner hosted in collaboration with abillion in Oct 2024, and was blown away by the fine-dining standard food, especially the smoked battered tofu and soup noodles with sea grapes, showing me that they have lots more potential! Hope the regular menu can be expanded to showcase these culinary skills with more temple-style cuisine, perilla soup noodles, ssambap wraps, etc! Located at One North MRT Station.

A must go in Singapore - Edit
We ate here twice when we visited Singapore. Everything we had was amazing. Hot pots are fantastic and the Vegan Army Stew is fun but would be better with vegan cheese. I love to try the sweet & sour option wherever I go and the S&S Mushrooms did not disappoint. There were 2 pancake dishes on the menu and the one on the long plate was better IMHO. But both are delicious.

Friday feeling - Edit
We kind of turned up, and it felt like the start of the weekend for everyone. The atmosphere was loud and fun, almost party-like. The menu was smaller than its sister restaurant, The Boneless Kitchen, but there was still plenty to choose from, with some unique options.
Read moreWe shared three dishes and two sides, and the food was fantastic. The fish dish was great, and the soft tofu was a delightful surprise. The mushrooms and the hot pot were top-notch, with the spices enhancing the flavors without overpowering them.
It’s a nice place that’s worth the effort to visit.
Pros: Food, Staff

Large portions and delicious food - Edit
I came here with omni friends and kids. The portions were large and the dishes were not overly spicy. I really enjoyed the jjampong with its perfectly chewy noodles and rich broth. Service was fairly quick as well. Seating is cozy and comfortable. Note that this place does not accept credit card (cash, NETSPay and PayNow only).

Great range of vegetarian korean food - Edit
Often come here to eat with my family over the years. My staple orders:
Read moreTangsuyuk: Sweet n Sour mushrooms that are really good. Even my dad (who is a meat eater) thought it was chicken and asked for an additional serving
Odeng Bokkeum: its like a hot plate filled with fishcake, vegetables and a sweet n spicy korean sauce. The portion for this was decent.
Yangnyeom brocolli: crispy fried brocoli with sticky spicy sauce. My all time favourite and a must try.
Yachae Mandu: dumplings with mushroom n vegetables. It was okay, but gotta eat it with the soya sauce provided for that extra oomph
Kimchi Jeon: Flat kimchi pancake which was quite nice and delicious.
Also ordered their citron tea soda n peach ale which were all pretty good.
Only thing i felt negative was that their portion size was abit small and harder to share with my family of four.
Pros: Great variety of korean food, Excellent service

As usual, love the spicy, savory Kimchi pancakes! First time trying the classic Japchae, it came with sweet potato noodles paired with various mushrooms and asparagus. Surprisingly, it was flavourful and I enjoyed the chewy and springy sweet potato noodle!

Cons: Long waiting time during lunch hour

Taste is subjective - Edit
Tangsuyuk was good but you need to mix it with the gravy well.
Read moreSamgyetang was a disappointment as we can't savour any ginseng taste in it. Ingredients are lacking too.
Jjampong was below average but it has lots of ingredients especially veges.
Kale and sushi was so so. Free side dishes was not well marinated.
We encounter an unfriendly staff who is rude to us and her colleague. Hope she is having a bad hair day for today only ..
We definitely prefer Boneless Kitchen for its service and food.

Korean Vegan Dishes - Edit
One of the best korean vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. Instead it is under vegetarian category, 95% of the menu is plant-based and staff is helping to you to veganize remaining ones if it is required. We asked them to prepare vegan version of Soondubu Jjigae (one of the special of the restaurant) and it was spicy, but super delicious. Tangsuyuk was the another special dish of the restaurant, which is sweet&sour crispy mushroom dish, and we really liked it. But Yachae Mandu (vegan gyoza) was a really winner for us. Daehwa is also supporting people with special needs and @ of the crew is consisting from people with special needs, which is very exemplary in that way. Definitely we will come back to try other dishes.

Delicious Soondubu Jjigae - Edit
Tried their Soondubu Jjigae (spicy tofu stew with rice), for me it's not spicy, just nice. I "soak" all the purple rice into the broth and make it a poached rice, it's very satisfying, tofu really melt in your mouth as claimed. For me it's a light and healthy yet delicious meal, in fact their appetizers are tastier, personally i like the thousand island salad, curry potato and radish very very much, they're superlicious.

Fast, fresh, delicious food - Edit
We came here for dinner on a Friday night and we were incredibly impressed at how quickly our food came out! Literally within minutes of us ordering, we received all of our food piping hot and every dish was fantastic. I would have liked to have had spicier food, for example with the kimchi pancake and it not having any spice, but aside from that (I really love spicy food) it was very good, the service was great and the ambience lovely.
