Has some good vegan options - Edit
This restaurant is sadly no longer fully vegan - I wonder if restaurants are feeling the need to "cast a wider net" as covid hurts business or something?
Read moreThe menu didn't seem amazing, mostly some pizzas and pastas/risottos on the menu...which would maybe be fine for an Italian restaurant or something, but this was more like a cafe with a cafe kitchen and 1 or 2 people working. We chose the Mexican pizza, and luckily I double checked with the server, as you have to tell them to "make it vegan" and add 50TWD for vegan cheese. The pizza wasn't great, again more like a cafe pizza than a real pizza cooked in a pizza oven.
We also wanted the Caesar salad but was told it was sold out, so we got the hummus platter which was ok. The black-sesame-banana-nutmilk was tasty but kinda watery at the same time.
Oh yeah, no English menu available either, even after asking the server.

Italian escape - Edit
If you fancy European / Italian food besides the Taiwanese food this is the place to go. I had pasta and felt like I was in Italy. Very authentic taste of the food. Definitely will come back soon to try the risotto and many more dishes.

The Best Caesar Salad Ever! - Edit
If you're in Kaohsiung, I highly recommend this spot! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I don't speak any Chinese, but they have an English menu and are so helpful in explaining everything. I had probably the best caesar salad I've ever had here, as well as their fried tofu which was also delicious.
Read moreThe caesar salad has slivered almonds, dehydrated mushrooms, and broccoli, and is so flavourful. I've been back a second time (and it was just as great the second time), and I will continue to go. It's so nice to be able to go to a restaurant without worrying that I'm accidentally eating animal products.

From the moment of entering the place until the point of leaving, we were met with a wonderfully cheerful atmosphere and a lot of laughter! ❤️ there’s an English menu, staff has the best time presenting their own English skills and all dishes sound promising - we tried two different Risottos and the dessert quesadilla (banana pumpkin, not too sweet!!) - everything is prepared with fresh and well sourced ingredients and the quality showed in everything we ordered - a place to go back to! 🤗
